got a job at arby's

i'm not getting paid a lot, and i'm not getting a lot of hours, but it's a job. the people are all nice, except for one or two, but i am not going to let them ruin my job for me. :) i also like the work. it's not hard at all and there's not really a lot to do. i can also get scholarships for school, which i desperately need, and i can get health insurance. and on top of all that, my manager has told me that after i am trained on everything, i will be spending most of my time on front line working the register, which i love. i've only gotten to do that one day so far, but i am hoping i will get stationed up front tomorrow. this job has definitely helped keep my mind off my ex fiance. (i hate him!)

i loved it when i worked at arbys YEARS ago, lol, but i told them if they put me on a register or the drive through they would have to fire me, lol, i loved working in the back making the sandwiches

I worked at Arby's for the summer about 9 years ago. I loved doing registers too. But my main position was cleaning. I hated that. They wouldn't let me go unless it was all done, and there were days my parents would be in the parking lot waiting for me for up to 45 minutes!! Hello!! At 4 in the afternoon it's not going to get all done unless you close the restaraunt! There was alot of crap that happened, but I did have a good time too. I don't know if it's the same there, but we used to get a free meal each day. I loved the Southwest melts, too bad they don't have them anymore. I went back to get my family dinner while I was visiting a few years later, and sad to say that some of the people there that had a better than you attitude ( they were above cleaning) when I worked there were still there.

Congrats on your job! My daughter just had her first day at Arby's yesterday. I felt so sorry for her because this is her very first job at 16, and she was so nervous the night before she didn't sleep and made herself sick. I told her she would look back in a week or two and wonder why she worried so. Hope you like your job. :)
