:mad: everyday I use this forum site I have trouble. It won't bring the screen up properly. Or it just sits and never brings the page up. I have to keep refreshing the screen or close and try again. Most times I just quit! Is anybody else having this problem? It's not my computer either it was just gone over by a computer tech and all my other sites work fine.

I'm not having any problems either (knock on wood!). Hopefully it will fix itsself soon. lol What could be causing it? Anyone know?

My computer is freezing up over here. every time i go somewhere on this site i freeze up.

well i do happen to refresh these pages alot because they do not load properly and the two darn popups as soon as you get here just ticks me off too.

try running Adaware or Spybot to flush the cooties out and maybe it'll work better for u? Just a thought.

It does freeze on me for a little bit, then once the pop-up pops up, the page loads. I thought when the site was down they may have been fixing this, but they were just adding another pop-up. Another pop-up for my blocker to block. I think this has just turned in to a giant money making machine at the expense of the site running properly. Come on, 2 pop ups at the beginning and them one EVERY SINGLE PAGE???? I am coming here less and less because it is such a major PITA.

I don't run a pop up blocker....

and I only get a pop up when I haven't touched the computer for a while...

I also don't have the other probs...

and I have 32 Internet Explorer windows open.... Half are pages here I am watching.... and others are "personal" stuff....

BUT I do have great anti virus, and adaware, and some software to stop registry changes.... so I KNOW I am virus free....

and I don't do PTC programs....

that being said, the site runs fine for me, other than a slight pause as the OCCASIONAL pop-up is loading.

Tech, why so many pop-ups? Doesn't Alex realize no one is clicking on them and they are more of an annoyance than anything? Or does he even care?

She is absolutely right. There are two popups for every page loaded. I just counted them on my blocker. I'm not having problems with the pages not loading and the popups don't really bother me too much since I installed the Google toolbar but I do feel sorry for the 56k'rs and people without blockers.

i have a pop up blocker and every time i go some where on this site, i hear 2 clicks, from it. i have gotten so, i turn off the noise. it is a pain in where i sit. now this is me shouting for help-"KATT, TECH5, SOMEBODY PLEASE HELP ME, I LOVE MY BBS FAMILY, BUT, THIS FREEZING AND 2 POPUPS ARE DRIVING ME CRAZY, CAN Y'ALL FIX THIS". i am sorry to shout, but i can't take this. i'll be back later. thanks.
