The tumor is inoperatable. It has grown into his pelvic bone and is tangled up in the veins going down into his legs plus his right kidney has now failed.
Things are looking pretty grim :(
The doctors are telling me to pray for a miracle.
Right now he is still in the hospital, will be for a few more days.
Then 5 weeks to recover from this surgery before they do both chemo & radiation. After 3 months of that another CT Scan.
If the chemo & radiation is working then that will be great, if there is no change or it has grown then he will be pronounced terminal and he will have maybe 6 months to 2 years.
He has wasted away to almost nothing already.
He needs all the prayers he can get.
BBS Prayer Team.....I NEED YOU !!!
TIA

You and your husband are in my prayers. Just a suggestion, there is a lot of research on green teas and soy being great cancer fighters, do some research on it but if you would like me too I will be glad to look for and post some threads. I mention this because it helps to feel empowered during these times and if it can help and not do harm then its worth a try. Try to not neglect yourself. Take good care of yourself too, its important for you to get rest and eat well during this time so that you will be strong enough to be there for him. Let your friends and family help during this time, its important for them to be able to and it helps you out as well.

I went ahead a and searched and got back a ton of websites, I went to http://www.msn.com/ and used the search on their page and typed in, soy a cancer fighter, and got back a lot of websites from colleges and medical places choose which one you see as being the most reliable.
Also there is a tea called Jason Winters tea. It is one of the green ones with the most healing power from what I have read, you can find it at health food stores and also buy it online. It is said to filter out the toxins in the blood thus building up the immune system thus making the body stronger to fight. You can buy soy in tablets and a lot of foods are bing made with it today, from cheese, note the cheese is sold in produce aisle, to milk, to all kind of other products and it also comes in capsule form too. I don't know if this info would be of interest to you since some people believe in it and others don't, but thought I would list it just in case.

Whatever decisions you make, be sure that you keep in mind what your husband wants and needs. Make plans for the worst and for the best. It is going to be very hard on everyone. I hope whatever happens it is what is best for your family.

My prayers are with you. You are NOT alone. I have a dear friend who also has an inoperable tumor. She has 3 girls, ages 13, 11, and 8. The dr.s tell her she MAY see her oldest graduate, but doubtful. ((((((((hugs)))))))))

I lost Tice, dear hubby and soulmate, to non-operable lung cancer last Dec. I understand what you are going thru. My family and closest friends and hospice helped me get thru it all. Even the BBS family helped me. Open up to your family and close friends and let them surround you both with love. My heart goes out to you and your dear hubby along with many prayers and huggles cancer fighting gremlins.........
