I need some baby names-both male and female. It would be good if the name has a nice meaning (if you know the meaning, please write it next to the name). This is urgent.Thank you :)
p/s: it would mean alot if you could write a name and a reason why you suggested that even if its something as simple as "I just like it"...

For girls I like plant names :) Violet, Lily (my neices name) Holly, Ivy, Marigold.......
I also like my Mother's name which is Dariel (like Ariel with a D on the front of it, my Grandmother chose it because she thought it sounded musical)
For a boy I like the name Jack. It is a good strong name.
Are you looking for names for your own soon-to-be-born baby?

I like Geraldine, Gwendolyn and Gwenevere. I think that's spelt Guinevere but this uin looks funny to me. I'm not sure what they mean but I've always thought they were classy names. I like Geraldine because my dad, brother and sister are Gerry/Geri. For boys, I like Nolan.. I just love that name. Jacob too. Jacob Nolan is what I'd name my son if I ever had one.
For girls I like the names Samantha, Sage, and Alyana(pronounced Ally-on-uh) and Samara(pronounced suh-mar-uh) just because I like them lol For boys I like Adrian and Paul..I'm usually for unusual names though.

Girl names
Ayana - meaning beautiful flower
I named one of my daughters this. Every OB visit while I pregnant the Dr. did an ultrasound. Each time he told me it was a boy. I was planning on naming him Nathan after my brother who had passed away. Well when "he" turned out to be a she I had no name picked out. The hospital gave me a baby name book to look at and I found this name on the first page and just loved it!!! Her middle name is Kristine.
My other daughter's name is Tiasha Denise. I got the name "Tiasha" off of the "Jenny Jones" show years ago. I just liked that name.

For a girl I like Elizabeth (good solid name, not weird, but cool) plus some famous women w/that name like Queen Elizabeth I or I really love Charlotte, which I would have named my son (if he was a girl, not a boy!).
Most boys names....eh...I only liked Alexander so that is what we named our son.
:) I also liked the name Evan. (good English/Welsh sounding name).

I've always loved the name Trinadee Nicole for a girl...normally its spelled trinity but the unusual spelling makes it more unique.
For a boy I've always seemed to like the name Tyler Anthony (my nephews name)

We named our daughter Gabriella, I think it means messenger of God, but I just like the way it sounded, and we call her Brie for short, hubby didn't want her to be called Gabby. For a boy we had picked out Ethan, because only I liked Gavin. We were actually talking about it the other day and said Wyatt is a nice strong name and I like Kira (or Kiera) or Joselyn (Jocelyn) for girl names. :)

i find that if you are religious that that is a great place to start...
we (dh and i) are both catholic (practicing and proud) so we stuck to names of saints... we went with JOHN for our first son. John was jesus' cousin. and the meaning of JOHN is God's gift. so appropriate for our first child, because we had lost our first pregnancy to misscarriage. also john is a very strong name. we wanted also a name that was strong in history... presidents and heads of state are named john...
our second boy was thomas...
when we got married the priest called dh thomas (not his name) lol... and at the time we belonged to st. thomas the apostle church.. sooooo.....it was fate.. thomas also means the twin.. and he does look like a jr. version of me.. (we had hoped hed look like his brother lol)
if i had a girl she would be veronica.. only because of the sixth station .. veronica wiped the face of jesus... that and everytime im pregnant the song Veronica plays on the radio... :p i often wonder if my guardian angels name is veronica... i get a strange feeling whenever i hear or say the name..go figure lol...
Latin Meaning of Veronica: true image
St. Veronica Feast day July 12 The woman of Jerusalem who wiped the face of Christ with a veil while he was on the way to Calvary. According to tradition, the cloth was imprinted with the image of Christ's face." Unfortunately, there is no historical evidence or scriptural reference to this event, but the legend of Veronica became one of the most popular in Christian lore and the veil one of the beloved relics in the Church. According to legend, Veronica bore the relic away from the Holy Land, and used it to cure Emperor Tiberius of some illness. The veil was subsequently seen in Rome in the eighth century, and was translated to St. Peter's in 1297 by command of Pope Boniface VIII. Nothing is known about Veronica, although the apocryphal Acts of Pilate identify her with the woman mentioned in the Gospel of Matthew who suffered from an issue of blood. Her name is probably derived from Veronica , as was reported by Giraldus Cambrensis. The term was thus a convenient appellation to denote the genuine relic of Veronica's veil and so differentiate from the other similar relics, such as those kept in Milan. The relic is still preserved in St. Peter's, and the memory of Veronica's act of charity is commemorated in the Stations of the Cross. While she is not included in the Roman Martyrology, she is honored with a feast day. Her symbol is the veil bearing the face of Christ and the Crown of Thorns.

I have always thought that family names are important. So if you can include a maiden name as a middle name it brings a sense of history to a child.
I also think that names should be simple and easy for a child to spell. Lyric, Melody, Anna, Nora, Marie, Eve, Faith, simple.
As for sons, again simple but strong names. Patrick, Adam, Brennan, David, Eric, Ivan, Kelly, Samuel.

Tyler Kolten- I just liked it.. his dad wanted it spelled Colton, but I wanted it spelled different, so I went with the spelling I gave him.
Zachary Dane- He was supposed to be Joshua Dane but as soon as I delivered him, we decided on Zachary, Dane is my husbands middle name.
