satellite tv question?

I would like to add another tv to our dish......would it be cheaper to call directv for an added install or get a receiver and do it myself my sister has some sort of cone things that sends the signal from her tv in lroom to the den can I use that? my satellite is a 3 and i only have 2 receivers now?????
