I stopped in for gas today and was told it was going to jump a dime by 3:00. I was there to fill up anyways so didnt think much of it. At the time I paid $1.87 gallon. As I went thru town on my way to the ball park tonight there was a line wrapped around the block of one of the stations that hadnt gone up yet. As I got further down the road I noticed one station jumped to $2.04 gallon and the next one was $2.08  Dime my a$$ ! I bout crapped and sure was glad I filled up when I did!

It really kills us on gas cuz DH works an hour away each way. It was taking him $50 to fill up his pick up once and he has to fill up twice a week just to get him back n forth to work. So he bought a smaller beater vehicle to get him back n forth to work and now its like $25-30 to fill up so we managed to cut back a little. And you're right.... it does cut into grocery money, etc. :(

2 weeks ago gas prices here were $1.63 and $1.67 today they are up to $1.89..... I hope prices start going the OTHER direction here soon. It took $34 to fill our truck up the other day, we can't take much more of this.

Luckily, we live and work on post (we are military). So the tank of gas usually lasts us a week, but it's still not easy seeing those prices, and we want to drive to TN this summer. If gas prices are still up, I am not sure if we will. :(

Its up to $1.99 here for the low grade. It takes DH almost $70 to fill up his truck and that is lucky to last a week just driving back and forth to work. I wish he could drive something better on gas but he needs the truck for work so the only thing we can do is just suck it up and deal with it. I'm going to have to start walking anywhere I need to go. The only time I drive my truck is when its raining and I need to take the kids to school or pick them up. If I need groceries or such I either walk or get a ride from my MIL or BIL when they go. The gas price is going to kill us, well that and the milk prices. :(

Here in the Seattle area gas was as high as $2.27 today! Dh and I are driving to Las Vegas at the end of August, I shudder to think what gas prices will be by then. We may go ahead and fly after all--it will probably be cheaper.

A while ago I heard on the radio that according to Triple A (I think that's who) gas prices may top out at around $5 a gallon here (Portland Oregon area). I just got a new extra-long full sized van. It's a guzzler, but we don't have a choice of vehicles. We needed a big van to accomodate both our power wheelchairs and the necessary modifications. We have tickets to a couple concerts in Vancouver, Wa--40+ miles each way. I'm sure not going to like having to pay for the gas for those trips.

We live in PA and we drive down to the Jersy Shore every weekend. We left Friday early morning got gas in Jersy for $1.68, when other people came down later he raised the price to $1.71, when we left to come home Sunday morning it was $ 1.75. I know by Memorial Day it will be well over $2.00. I dont understand why more people aren't more upset. My DH calls our State Rep every week on this.
