My DH needs your prayers.

My dh was in the hospital this week.
They thought he had kidney stones but when they put him out and went after the stones what they found was a Tumor. They did a biopsy and tuesday we will find out if it's cancer or not. The Tumor will have to be removed as it has almost caused his right kidney to quit working.
He called the place he works at Thursday as soon as we got home from the hospital and told them what is going on and that his doc had put a ? on his work excuse in the return to work space. So then they fired him.
My husband and our family need prayers right now so I've come to my BBS family to ask for your help.

I will pray for you all. I think it is illegal for them to fire him...I would be furious and would definatly call someone about it...good luckand God Bless.

I agree.. they can't fire him for medical reasons, call an attorney who has free consults.

They made him sign something called an at will agreement. He said it says they can let him go for ANY reason. Doesn't seem right. I guess I can call some places on Monday and see what they say.

Hey hun...... meant to tell you last night...... DH said to check into the Family Medical Leave Act for the state he works in. I know you live in the same state as we do and it is awesome here. DH has had to use it a couple times due to his heart and back but I know your DH goes out of state to work so might be dif for each state, I dont know. Anyways... you know you have my hugs n prayers hun! :(

Prayers and huggles to you both. If he can't get his job back, maybe it's a sign of something better to come along :) But I sure would check into the labor practices in your area. I've never heard of it being legal to fire someone for being sick unless you miss tons of work like for every little sneeze or toe cramp.
