 I dont know where to start, I am currentily applying to several different places and I am not sure how to word the reason why I left my previous job. I was working in the security field and it just WASNT for me, it was an awful work enviroment, long commute, etc. Can someone please help me with the wording on reason for leaving besides "It wasnt for me" Something that would be acceptable to a potential employeer mind you please :)

Are you going back into the security field? If not you can always say something like you wanted to expand your work potential.
Have you checked out 10minuteresume.com? (I think thats the link).. they have great tips for things like that.

If you are applying for jobs that are closer to you, just say that the drive was too far. They will certainly understand that with gas prices going up every day.

expanding my career opportunities to include other areas outside of the security field which are closer to home.

One of the things you could say was you wanted to find a more satisfying long term postion.

i would just say that you are wanting to change career fields to something that is more suited to your skills/goals(if you're changing fields that is)

You went as far as you could with that company? Maybe you can say you had more ambitions in the firm/company but they didn't have any other places to promote you?
