Another DH vent

We leave for Las Vegas monday. I have always been afraid of flying and DH knows this. So for the last 2 days he has been saying all kinds of things about flying and was I ready and so on. Today he goes so far as to start talking about sitting right behind the wings and how its the safest place to be if the plane crashes. He then starts talking about how the front goes down first and the back can break off and so on. I finally went off. I am trying really hard not to even think about flying and he is rubbing my nose in it. I just wanted to tell him to take the dang trip and shove it. He was like why are you mad? I just can not believe how much pleasure he is getting out of my being afraid. No that is not true he is always like this. It just sucks. :mad:

Men seem to think that if they say things that sound scary it will make us not afraid. :rolleyes: Dumb I know. Just tell him that if anything happens, You'll just use him for a buffer :D No, JK!!! Everything will be fine!! Just think happy thoughts and how you'll be having a wonderful time!!

PEACELUVER~Honey, i am going to tell you the same thing my mother said to me, about flying, " get a seat on the wing, and everything will be fine". don't think of nothing else, but the fun you are going to have, and all the stuff you can come back and tell use about, that you saw and did. have a great trip and enjoy yourself. Men!! THey think it's funny to tease you on stuff like that because they think it will make you lighten up. Not so.

I usually would fly alone with the boys (haven't done it in 2 years), and the last time Bug was 4 and he kept asking the flight attendant when we were going to crash and slide on the big slide. She gave me some dirty looks. LOL

I too am afraid of flying so I totally sympathize with you, for him to try to make you feel more uneasy about the situation is wrong. Just tell him to shut up or he can go by himself!! LOL I would!!
