For those of you praying for mikey and his family

Mikey passed away today. They ran test on him this morning that showed very little brain activity so the drs. turned off the machines. His dad looked over at mikey's mom sitting in a chair picked mikey up laid him on his mom's lap. He passed away about 2 minutes later. Please continue to pray for this family for the rough time they are going through.

:( I havent been online much here at BBS so I'm not sure who Mikey is, but my deepest sympathy goes out to his family, it breaks my heart hearing about a child passing away, whether I know him directily or not. If someone would please send me a link to the thread, also I would like an address to send a sympathy card to SOMEONE :confused: Im so clueless I know, but I really want to help!

You know that Dumbo, Disney movie...
the part where Dumbo's mother is locked away in a train
car and the little mouse brings Dumbo over to
see his mother?
Dumbo's mother picks up Dumbo in her
trunk and sings, "Baby of Mine."

It always makes me cry when I hear it.

The part where you said Mikey's Dad picked him up
and brought him to be cradled and cuddled in
his mother's arms, the last few minutes of his
short life reminded me of that song
"Baby of Mine" and how
strong a mother's and a father's love
is for their child.

Now you have me cryin' right along with you
at the loss of Mikey.

What I wanted to express was my
sympathy during this very difficult time.

queenangie I thought that was so sweet the way his dad took him to his mom. It's great the way these two have pulled together and helped each other through this especially considering they are divorced and all. The drs wanted to have an autopsy performed for research so maybe they can learn something that will help someone else with the problems mikey had. He will be buried Thurs. as they are bringing him back to Indiana where his mother is from and her parents still live there. His obit hasn't even been in the paper yet. It's suppose to be in there Tuesday according to his grandmother.Mikey is better off now especially considering he's been on these machines for the past month or so.He's really been gone since a month ago but the parents were waiting for a miracle.

Michael was an eighth-grade student at Our Lady Queen of Peace in Madison, Wis. Michael enjoyed travel with his family, and he was a WWE professional wrestling fan. To his family and friends, he was "Mikie," and he identified himself on the Internet as "SmackDownMikie." A child of faith and compassion, Michael leaves spirit and memories with his parents, Paul Madden Jr. of Lewisport and Lisa (Moore) Madden of Madison; his grandparents, Ruth and Paul Madden of Lewisport and Ginger and Donald Moore of New Albany, Ind.; and his many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.



Visitation will be Wednesday, April 14, from 2 to 8 p.m. EDT and from 9 to 11 a.m. EDT on Thursday, April 15, at Generations Funeral Home on 3309 Ballard Lane, New Albany. The funeral service will be at 11 a.m. EDT Thursday at the funeral home.
