Um What Do You Put On Your BLT??

Had an 15 year old boy come down to the store for his mom because she was fixing BLTs and was out of lettuce so she sent him down for a head of lettuce. When he got home he had to come right back because he took home a head of cabbage. LOL

I think he just mistakenly grabbed cabbage instead of lettuce.....I've done it more than once :p

I have lots of bacon and mater slices. The bread has lots of real butter and real mayo, toasted or plain, white or wheat. NO lettuce.......I eat lots of them in the growing season when the maters are in the garden, home growns at the farmer's market 2 miles away. OMG! I'm drooling :rolleyes:

I'll plant mater plants after April 15, last frost date. Then each month I plant more. That way I have early to late varieties. Then I eat them and then I grow :D

Seems I eat continuosly. I have a jar of M&M's sitting at my puter, and a small dish of jelly beans which is hard to keep filled. I go out of my way to gain weight and the harder I try the skinnier I get - really. You wouldn't believe the calories I consume in a day. My sister thinks I have a 'tapeworm' :eek:

I used to love bacon lettuce and tomato (lots) on toasted white bread w/ mayo and salt and pepper!! mmmm!! Now adays, I just put some mayo on a large lettuce leaf, add bacon slices and tomatoes.

This is how we make them but we call them "BTLO's" or "botlos" since my kids could never say the initials when they were little.....lol

don't know if anyone else said this, but the other day my dh said he wanted a blt, only he got confused and said he wanted bacon, egg, lettuce and tomato. i said that is not a blt that is a belt. LOL

FWIW - Hubby doesn't know the difference in cabbage or lettuce either.

Oh my I love BLT's I don't hardly ever have them because hubby hates them (and he says he is American). White toast with bacon lettuce tomato and mayo!!!! Yummy...have to add that I have never ordered one that I really liked so they have to be homemade!

Now I really want one. Evil T...pure Evil :D
