Sorry you feel so bad about your anniversary...maybe (you know men don't really think) that he forgot or he thought that everything he did this week while you were recovering is your gift??? I am clueless just wishing I could make you feel better...sending you extra hugs...God Bless.

HAPPY ANNIVERSARY!!!!!! HE MAYBE TRYING TO GET UP SOME MONEY TO GET YOU SOMETHING. MAYBE HE NEEDS SOME TIME TO GET IT. I DON'T KNOW, REALLY. BUT, I AM JUST SUGGESTING A FEW THINGS, SO YOU DON'T FEEL HURT. THE SAME THING HAPPENED TO ME, BUT WAS MADE UP LATER. YOUR HUSBAND WILL DO THE SAME FOR YOU. HAVE A NICE DAY.

I got all ya'll beat, on our second anniversary my husband and I filed for a divorce, some present huh? For christmas hubby let ME buy myself a movie, and then went out when he got his check bought puzzles for his mama. What did I get? Your guessing it, ZERO, NATTA, NOTHING. He claims my christmas was HIM buying himself a TV and a TV stand:rolleyes:

Happy Anniversay from Wilmington!! Just had mine, & we went & got new wedding bands, then went to see "cold mountain". Nicest anniversary I've had in 25 years! Thats right, 25! One year, all I wanted was roses, & he got me a rose bush for the front yard instead of a nice arrangement to put on the mantle. Come on; a rose bush???? This year my 17 year old fixed us breakfast, & cleaned the kitchen up THOROUGHLY afterwards. (usually they do just a hit and miss job, don't they?

My first husband was a real jerk . For my birthday the first year we were married , he got me a SEGA game system (this was in the late 80s LOL .}I did not play video games and had absolutely no idea what this thing was. He did play games and used the SEGA all the time. The jerk had bought me what he wanted for my birthday. Soooooo on his birthday I gave him a box of Kotex.

My best friend's husband (now ex) back home was the same way.For any gift giving day,he got her things he wanted. One year for her b-day,he got her a bumper for a car,he was fixing up,one Christmas a gun he had looked to buy for himself. The gift list goes on,he was a straight up A$$hole.

I have learned to leave lots of hints the week prior to birthdays, anniversaries, Mother's Day, etc.
Tell the kids...."Mmmmm, I wonder what your Dad is getting me for my birthday. Has he given you any hints? Maybe you, DS/DD should tell him that you want to go with your Dad to pick out my present at ------"
Put a big red heart on the calender on the refrigerator.
Put lipstick on the mirror in the bathroom with a message.
Plain out tell DH, "Let's go shopping on Friday evening for my birthday present!"
Get one of those reminder services for the computer a week ahead of your birthday, anniversary, etc. for DH's computer & email.
Men, you gotta hit 'em on the head with a 2 by 4 sometimes. Just teasing. LOL!

My sister and her ex used to do the same thing. He'd buy snow tires for her for his truck, and she'd buy him a sewing machine. Worked out well for them.

My dh is pretty good about this, he got me things I wanted for the computer, makeup, cow stuff, since I collect cows, and such and this was just for Valentines day, he always gets me stuff I like. Maybe you should just be honest with him, sometimes men are just dense.
