View Full Version : Help - Can I freeze ricotta cheese?

I bought too much ricotta cheese and it is too expensive to waste.Does anyone know if I can freeze it? Any help would be much appreciated.Thanks in advance.I have one container not open and another with just a bit missing.

Yes, You can if you'll use it in recipes, Not just open and thaw and eat. It will get dry and crumbly, But it will be fine for like lasagna or things like that later. Prolly not for more than like 3-6months! HTH

Also, make sure you thaw it in the refrigerator, not set out. That will help a lot too.
