noisy neighbors

I live in a condo. the one directly behind me has always had different tenants, because the owner rents it out. And it always seems to be a noisy group. The newest one is bad. last night at 12:30 am they are out on the balcony talking so loud. I woke up. put my pillow over my head, because i get up at 4 am for work. I tried to go back to sleep. at 1 am I think i hear someone knocking at my door. It is just me and my son, i was not thrilled to have someone knocking at my door at 1 am. by the third knock I figured I better go see what is going on. I look out my kitchen window, to see two policemen. shining their flashlights thru my peephole. I opened the door, they tell me they got a complaint that I was playing music or the tv too loud. Mind you i have been asleep or sort of since 9 pm. I tell this to them, and I am sure I looked half dead. I told them about the people behind me on the balcony carrying on. my blinds were open on my slididng door, so I showed them. they asked how to get to that building, I directed them. I dont know if they went over or not, cause 2 am my neighbors are still whooping it up.
it is going to be a long day at work today.

Sorry they kept you up. I would call the police on them every time they done it. Maybe if you complain enough they will do something to them.

Call the police and keep calling until your neighbors learn that they are making far too much noise for their neighborhood. Some times you have to teach people how to live with others.

ITA~ start calling cops on them everytime they sneeze or i would of thrown open the door and said something to them.......

Contact the owner of the loud condo maybe???

It is just so weird that the cops came to my door. I should have asked who called them. But I was so tired. I do not think they went over to the neighbors even after I told them and showed them.
I have gone to the assocation about this quite a few times. This owner seems to rent to loud young people. One time they were having a party there must have been 15 of them on the balcony. Onoe of the young men was actually hanging off the side of the balcony. I know Vegas is a 24 hour town, but some of us do work the regulare 8-5 hours.
I will be calling the assocation again today. See if they can fine the owner again. sometimes that is the only thing that works. hit in ther wallet.

The association should be very worried. If someone was to get hurt or that balcony was to fall they would be in some serious trouble. Start documenting everytime you have to call them or the police. Perhaps then it would be clear what a trouble-maker this guy is renting out to people like that.

there are some people like that behing my parents' house on the next block. they used to sit out in their yard or in their cars with rap "music" blaring through the neighborhood. asking them to turn it off didn't work, so i started calling the police everytime i heard any music coming from them. they figured out it was our house, and when i was out on the trampoline, they started yelling things at me, such as b*tch or f*cking nark. called the police out again, was called over by police for a conversation, and they were told to have no contact with us or they would be sued for harassment and possibly jalied/fined. i still call the police out if i am over here and they are playing that garbage. my mom hates it more than i do, but she is scared to call because she thinks they are going to go after her, so i do it for her.

what they are doing is illegal. you can sue them, they are committing a tort by creating a nuisance to you.

Don`t even get me started on noisy neighbors cookiegirl. I live in a duplex & have the neighbors from hell. I`m always calling my agent & complaining to no avail. I sooo wish I didn`t sign my latest lease. They are baaaaad! 3 kids 2, 5 & 6. Drug dealers (I`m pretty sure) loud music all hours of the day & night & even have the audacity to park in my driveway. UGGH I`m so annoyed with these people. I won`t even blab any further(LOL) you get the idea. Good Luck!

Mystic32 I know what you are going thru. I honestly wish I could afford to move. The real estate has gone thru the roof in Vegas. Plus I am not so sure I want to stay here. All was quiet last nite. I am going to the association again toda. They need to starting fining the offenders. Really it is also a matter of common courtesy. Which I just do not see too much of anymore.

What a pain in the butt!! I know the feeling about loud and rude neighbors!!! Just call the police everytime and make sure you keep a log, as mentioned before, of each time you have to call. Maybe then someone will wake up but until then, get yourself some earplugs!!
