My dining room!

This is what I did over Spring Break.....

and here's afterwards (and the wall in the living room next to the dining room)...I painted and cut the chair rail all by myself! My neighbor helped me put the chair rail up since that is definitely not a 1 person job! I am pretty pleased with myself! LOL!

thanks! I was off all week.....so on top of painting, etc., I put photos in albums (sat in the floor for about 4 hours doing that), worked in the yard for 6 hours yesterday........my back is paying for all that now! :p

(I also made the arrangement on the dining table.) :)

also....let me state that the UGLY gold blinds where already up when we bought the house!!! :p

Davesbabydoll.....they are REALLY ugly gold myler type vertical blinds.....I called them "mirrored sunglasses" blinds!

Ugly really doesn't describe them! The lady we bought the house from also had them in the living room.....those got replaced, too!

They were made of this thin stuff that fit in a black "frame" or "sleeve"......they had to have been REALLY old! Luckily, I was able to slip the black thing out and get inexpensive white verticals at Home Depot that just slipped right up in the little clip........

thanks everyone! It's lucky I like doing this type of stuff.....'cause hubby is NOT a handyman! I have a great neighbor, Christa, and she I and do all kinds of "power tool" projects! We decked both our attics, trim our trees, etc........ :)
