a bird gets in your house, last week a starling I think got in and we caught it in a towel and let it out. I have heard it is a sign of a death or bad luck for a bird to get in the house. Is this true? What do you think?

I had always heard that it was a sign of death when a bird hits your window(lol, not just for the bird) but I have never heard the other.
yes there is a thing about if a bird flys in your house some one will die, but it could be any one and some one dies some where every second. but i think the chinese think it's good luck for a bird to fly in(may be some one else but i think chinese)
any how ity's just superstition and old wives tales any how. i love it when a bird gets in the house. i had a pet crow and a dove for a while. i also rescued a sea bird hit by a car and had him in teh house until i could give him to an agency who would repair his wing and since they couldn't they put him in a zoo. we had a bat get into our school once, that was so funny watching all those teachers with nets trying to get that thing out of there, i just wanted to get a cage and take it home:)
