Its 40 degrees where I'm at in Ohio. I hear music and I look out my window and see an ice cream truck driving through the neighbor. Talk about gettin an early start on extorting cash from the kids for over priced ice cream bars and popcicles. I could see if it was a nice day...but come on... its only 40 degrees.

I wonder if the ice cream goodie truck will toot down my street. Sure could have used him last night. All I had was a pint of Creme Brulee ice cream so I ate the whole d*mn carton. Yummy!!!

We have a couple of ice cream vendors that drive down our street during the summer. They were still doing it up until the middle of October. lol I've always wondered why ice cream trucks don't pull over to the side of the street and wait a few minutes. They might get more customers that way. They ring the bell but you can't really hear it until they are real close to your house and then by the time the parents give the kids money and the kids go out the truck is gone. I never could figure that one out. lol They never come at the same time of day either so that doesn't help much.

No one person headed towards the truck.....its just to darn early here. This ice cream venders make me crazy in the summer....only about 6 different ones working the neighbor hood.

What kind of ice cream do they carry?

There really is such a thing. The carry popcicles, ice cream sandwiches, drum sticks, flavor ice, lemon aid freezes....and a bunch of novelty ice cream things on a stick....and a bunch of other things. All way over priced, and several of the trucks/vans look as if they have health condition issues. Only truck I let my kids buy anything from is the Good Humor truck..... they know not even to ask if its the dirty looking ones.

We saw our first ice cream truck of the season today while we were working in the yard. DD said all she could think of was child molesters when she sees one. It also set the dog off.

Our ice cream man comes every day except holidays. When we were younger he would pull up in front of our garage and all the kids in the complex would run over. Everyday for $2 I bought a big sheet of beef jerky. The guy has everything, ice cream, candy, small toys... He also let us buy stuff without money since he trusted everyone to pay him back. I feel kind of sad, he doesn't drive by anymore because we all grew up and don't really buy stuff... *sigh* maybe I'll go down to the park and wait for him tomorrow and get a fudgesical.
