Need Bike help..looking at Schwinn ladies bikes...please help

My fiance & I have decided to start riding bikes...it's been 10+ years since I have been on a bike until we recently started shopping around..I am buying from a dept. store to save $$, especially since we are novice riders...but I decided I wanted a Schwinn...I saw one at Walmart I like & one at Toys R Us/Amazon online that I like...my problem is I can't tell the difference in them & which would be better. I am leaning towards the Toys R Us bike since I could use gift certificates there though.

Here are the 2 bikes..could anyone help me determine the difference in these..I can't find specs for the high plains bike...also, anyone have experience with a Schwinn bike from a department store like walmart, toys r us...are they good quality?

I know that Schwinns are AWESOME bikes...I had one that was a "hand me down" from my brother (10 speed) that was at least 16 years old and never had a problem....til it was stolen :( the only thing I see different in the 2 bikes is the color?? they both have the front shocks which is good.

the only difference I saw was the color too but I'm thinking something else has to be different since one is sidewinder & the other is high plains...

do you think one from WalMart or ToysRUs would be good quality? I'm sure they aren't as good of quality as one I could get at a bike store..but I really can't afford that and we are just going to be weekend riders anyways.

I did notice that one stated it was an "all terrain" bike...meaning you could use it on off road trails. Not sure if the other one is. Where you buy it isnt gonna matter. Either store has good return policies.

I got it for Christmas and was really surprised at how high quality it is for the price. My kids both have the same brand bikes and we have never had any problems with any of them.
