I got a bill from my doctor today, yeah I know I don't like bills, but anyways, lol
He put how much it is gonna cost for the whole pregnancy except ultrasounds on there and it is only 2500.00 for a regular delivery and only 2915.00 IF i have to have a c section. Which isn't too bad since I don't have insurance. SO what do you all think. And the ultrasounds only cost 230.00 each. Guess we will be in debt for a long time, but this is the only way to do it.

Sounds like very reasonable prices to me compared to what our kids had. One of them had no insurance at the time and chose not to have but only the essential ultrasounds. If you have a problem pregnancy I'm sure might need more. Good luck and have a healthy baby. Such an exciting time.
I agree with Shelley, try calling your county's Division of Family and Senior Services office.

Thanks everyone. I don't quailfy for medicade here, it is only for those who are on welfare. So this is my only option. And I think that is a good price. :)
I *think* in Missouri anyone who qualifies for WIC can get Medicaid and I know when my Mom had my little brother 9 years ago she wasn't on any form of welfare, but still qualified for WIC so the income standards must not be too low.

After hearing what you wrote me about the clinic you went to I would rather pay a little more and have my own doctor. Getting the best care for you and the baby is more important IMO...but then you know how I feel about "Clinic" doctors, lol.

If I were you I would atleast look into those other programs that everyone else was telling you about...even a littlte help would help.
I don't know if this is your first baby or not but babies cost alot and every little bit of help you can get would help alot.
When I was married to my first husband and we had Teenie I did get WIC for a few months after she was born and that helped alot with the expenses of formula.....but you have a good attitude about how much it costs, I was upset the other day when I found out I had to pay the $20.00 copay once a week for when I get my allergy shots, when I called my insurance company they told me these shots were covered 100 percent, well thats not includint the copay.LOL;) :D

I would check with the local welfare department about some medical insurance. When I was pregnant with my last baby the woman at the health department told me to go sign up because they almost always give pregnant women medical coverage and their baby would have it for 1 yr. With the baby having medical coverage through the state, they automatically qualify for WIC for that year. Although, this was in Tennessee, I would still try just in case. All they can tell ya is no. lol
Good Luck!
Aww, I just noticed when you're due... On my birthday!! :D
Oh, on the insurance thing. My case worker told me that once she approved me for the insurance I would not be cut off no matter how much our income may change, as long as I go to my appointments and don't move out of state.

well the other program here for pregnant women is called hooiser health wise, and even though I qul. for it when I had my miscarriage in NOV, I do not qul, for it now :( SO that is all they have here. I have been around and around with them, and can't seem to get them to budge. So I pay a perium for Savannah every month and will have to when this one gets here too. But I am just taking this as a look up and a sign from God, cause the Clinic I went to Monday was awful. The people were nice and so was the doc, but the doc was so rough, and he scared me. He wouldn't even listen to the babies heart beat. So I am gonna stick with DR huey on this one :)

That is cool.......congratulations
price doesn't sound to bad to me. It's worth a lot to have a dr you like and trust. Peace of mind is priceless.

If nothing else, since you are not due for a bit, maybe you can make an arrangement to start making small payments now so that it is not so much after baby is here? Or even set aside a bit of money each week/month in the bank so that it is not so much of a burden at once? HTH and congrats on being preggo :)
