I started a diet on Monday and I've already lost 5 pounds!! Yay! :D:D:D


Its been a little rough because I'm here with the kids and all their junk food everyday but I've managed. I told hubby that I would weigh myself next Monday (to make it a week) and see if I had lost any weight but I just couldn't wait. I weighed myself this morning and when I seen that I had lost 5 pounds I almost fell off the scales. LOL

Good Job!! Now if I can just motivate myself to get started on a diet...I'm happy for you thought, keep it up.:)

What is WOE?? lol

I'm doing the South Beach Diet but I don't eat everything it lists because I don't even know what some of it is. LOL

Here's how our days usually goes..


We have breakfast - usually 2 hard boiled or scrambled eggs with a slice or 2 of canadian bacon (and decaf. coffee with 1% milk and splenda for me)

Mid Morning Snack - 15 cashews (or other type of nut) or celery with 2 tbsp of peanut butter (you can also have cheese but I choose one of these instead)

Lunch - Grilled fish fillet with small salad (lettuce, cucumber, tomato, fat free cheese and low fat dressing) or a salad with shaved ham in it.

Mid Afternoon snack - I usually skip this because my son is just getting home from school and I'm helping him with stuff.

Dinner/Supper - We eat either broiled steak, chicken or fish (cooked in olive oil) with a salad.

Dessert - The first day we tried the ricotta cheese thing in the book but I thought it was nasty, so I got us some sugar & fat free jello & puddings and some fat free cool whip. We get a serving of one of these with a little bit of cool whip on top.

So we get to eat up to 6 times a day and we drink lots of water (I cheated and got the sugar free kool-aid, has only 5 calories and no fat or carbs) I allow myself 1 diet soda and 1/2 of a regular soda a day.

I think thats everything. This is for the first 2 weeks and then we can start eating some fruit and whole wheat breads and things like that. :)
