hubby made with the venison sausauge and OMG!!!! :mad: :mad: :eek: :eek: :eek: :eek:
it is so hot is there anyway to chill it out a bit?

Sorry, I can't help....my favorite thing to put on EVERYTHING is crushed red pepper seeds and cayenne pepper!!!

I don't think you can, the seasoning is mixed right into the meat, only thing i can suggest is use it in dishes with kinda bland foods like pasta or rice to cover up some of the hot.

thats an idea I tried to put it in spagetti sauce and I think it made it worse LOL
def. not gonnna waste it, cause its meat lol but ouchie wa wa lol

What are you using it in? If it's chili, you can stir in some sour cream to tame it a bit.

Drink milk when you eat it, for some reason, milk tames the heat

crackers will help it too, it takes the heat away. But don't know what you can use with crackers for it :)

use in recipes with pasta or rice, and DAIRY. milk proteins help dissipate the hot reaction on the tongue. water will make it worse, as will acidy things (like tomato based recipes)

My suggestion: cook the sausage,
cook 2x as much peeled potatoes,
onions - optional,
put all through the grinder/chopper for hash.

I made sausage gravy over the weekend .. added WAY too much pepper ... BF said it was alright, grabbed a chocolate candy bar and gave me a bite ... took the hot away instantly!
