My sister dragged me to see Urban Cowboy, when we got there, there was a sign in the window that said "theatre temperature for Urban Cowboy 46 degrees....LOL There were only two other people there and it wasn't a matenee. That movie wasn't actually a block buster, but it's still one of my favorites. :)

I will have to admit that I was only in diapers in the 80's, born in late `81....but Dirty Dancing (and Patrick Swayze's butt) was/is one of my favorite 80's dance films.

oh yea!!! dirty dancing for sure!! in 1980s,1990s and now in the 2000s lol!! misunderstood the question!! my goof!! lol!! between answering posts and doing reports at all hours of the nite!! my eyes where crossed eyed reading posts and doing reports!! I watch dirty dancing at least once a month!! and to my surprize hubby put the movie on the other nite!! lol!!

Hve to say it is a toss up between Footloose and Dirty Dancing. I was in the 7th grade when Footloose came out, and our local radio station for a week before the movie came out was giving free passes to see the movie. Everynight, I would sit by the phone waiting for the signal to call but never won. Practicaly the entire 7th grade went to see that movie. I lived in a small town, before the new movie theaters popped up w/ 10 movies, we only had one in our neighborhood that would keep the same movie for months at a time. So we must have seen Footloose about a dozen times that we could recite the movie. When Dirty Dancing came out it was the same thing the Movie theater had it for so long there wasn't much else to do but go to the movies. We used to walk down the street and say "No one puts baby in the corner". We would pretend to dance like them. the good ole days!!!!

Those were all great movies but nothing made me dance more than Saturday Night Fever! I realize it came out in the 70's so that makes me the oldest person on here right? That's OK. I can still shake my "groove thing!"

Out of these Dirty Dancing. But my all time fav. 80's movie was Girls Just Want to Have Fun, I loved that movie when I was a teen and watched it over and over, made my mom sick.
