history.
•I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and
then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)
•I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.
•I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year
made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest
diplomatic failure in US and world history).

Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and

companies are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.
•All minutes of meetings of any public corporation for which I served on the
board are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public view.
•Any records or minutes from meetings I (or my VP) attended regarding public
energy policy are sealed in secrecy and unavailable for public review.

I agree with you-I intended on reading the entire thing but quit because it was just way to ridiculous. Bush can not be blamed for everything. I would love for a democrat to run for president on his/her own merits rather than just trying to run Bush into the ground. If he's supposedly so bad-that shouldn't be so hard right?? Yet all anyone wants to do is try to gain the presidency using only the faults of Bush to try to win. Makes no sense.

He alone attacked them? I suppose the congressional approval means nothing?
He spent the money? I do believe that congress is still the one who appropriates money. The President can request, but congress holds the purse strings.
He shattered the deficit? Again, congress appropriates money.
He filed all those bankruptcies? I suppose the individual consumer holds no responsibility for their spending habits and the debt they incur?
He set the record for the stock market fall? I didn't think he would have all that money in stocks all alone. Wow, learn something new.
He excuted the person? Personally, I think more deserve to be executed. I suppose he did that all by himself too, lets not hold the criminal responsible for his actions under the laws.
He took all those vacation days? Prove it.
He was responsible for the security failure? Sure, in office for less than a year, and after years and years under another administration the cards start to fall, lets blame the new guy.
I could go on and on, but why bother. People will believe what they chose to believe if it is written somewhere on the internet created by who knows who.

I personally think our whole gov't should be held accountable, sure doesn't look like things are getting better, and I think too that maybe if less money was put into things we don't need as badly and put into our country maybe it would come alive. Such as we spend an awful lot of money checking out mars when we could feed our people or put it back into our schools, sometimes I think we need to audit the gov't. all gov't offices, and see where it is all going, maybe that seems crazy or far fetched but it sure might explain where things are at. I am not blaming any one person.
Edited to add,
I am just a country person with a country mentality, but If I think that way, how many other country folks think that way too, I don't try to be a genius, I just think simply.

Now Bush is in office, everything he does is looked upon and he has not did a good job. If he is voted for again, then this economy is going to be in shambles.
I would rather have anyone than him in office, democrat or republican. And if people cannot see the manipulation of GW and realize that what he's doing has our forefathers turning over in their graves, then I don't know what will wake citizens in this country up.
Maybe people need to become homeless before they realize that Bush is not good for our relationship with neighboring countries, or good for this economy.:)

okaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaay!
•I attacked and took over 2 countries.
Took Over??? Last time I looked, we were still fighting in both countries...
•I spent the U.S. surplus and bankrupted the US Treasury.
huh???
•I shattered the record for the biggest annual deficit in history (not easy!).
wouldn't that be the same as the one above???
•I set an economic record for the most personal bankruptcies filed in any 12 month period.
How is he to blame, if they are PERSONAL???
•I set all-time record for the biggest drop in the history of the stock market.
ummmmm, I think 9/11 had something to do with that!!!
•I am the first president in decades to execute a federal prisoner.
Did he personally execute someone??? As far as I know, they have been executing people for decades...
•In my first year in office I set the all-time record for most days on vacation by any president in US history (tough to beat my dad's, but I did).
So What, he has been pretty busy, chasing 2 of the world's most notorius killers (OSB, 9/11, 3000 plus killed and SH, Millions dead, since 1979)!!!
•After taking the entire month of August off for vacation, I presided over the worst security failure in US history.
If you know what it was. let us know...
•I set the record for most campaign fund raising trips by any president in US history.
And campaigns are free???? and I bet it gets broken again soon.
•In my first two years in office over 2 million Americans lost their jobs.
again, not that 9/11 had anything to do with this... stock market falls, companies lose value, layoffs occur...
•I cut unemployment benefits for more out-of-work Americans than any other president in US history.
Prove it... I know that unemployment was EXTENDED 13 weeks for most people.... that is not a cut!
•I set the all-time record for most real estate foreclosures in a 12-month period.
huh, again, not pertinent... People bought stock at low price, rode the internet bubble, bought multimillion dollar houses, then stock market dropped (9/11, AND stocks NORMAILIZED).... was your house foreclosed??? Mine wasn't, so this doesn't affect me!!!
•I appointed more convicted criminals to administration positions than any president in US history.
name them..... you can't, then you must not REALLY be concerned who they are, or what they did
•I set the record for the fewest press conferences of any president, since the advent of TV.
So what... AND you can say that he allowed MORE press conferences by the military to the public, regarding status of the war.... didn't hear anyone complaining about that!!!
•I signed more laws and executive orders amending the Constitution than any other US president in history.
Just plain old BS... THE PRESIDENT CANNOT AMEND the constitution!!!
•I presided over the biggest energy crises in US history and refused to intervene when corruption was revealed.
crisis is spelled wrong....
•I cut health care benefits for war veterans.
Being a veteran, I also know that this is a lie...
•I set the all-time record for most people worldwide to simultaneously take to the streets to protest me (15 million people), shattering the record for protest against any person in the history of mankind.
So what... so he doesn't win a popularity contest... big deal! AND people don't protest other leaders of foreign countries, because they are killed by doing so..... Did you ever see a single protestor stand up to Saddam Hussein???
•I dissolved more international treaties than any president in US history.
Prove it!
•I've made my presidency the most secretive and unaccountable of any in US history.
Again, Prove it! how do you know what is a secret, if it is a secret???
•Members of my cabinet are the richest of any administration in US history. (The poorest multimillionaire, Condoleeza Rice, has a Chevron oil tanker named after her.)
and Bill Gates is a multi-billionaire, so what!
•I am the first president in US history to have all 50 states of the Union simultaneously struggle against bankruptcy.
Because they can't budget????
•I presided over the biggest corporate stock market fraud in any market in any country in the history of the world.
Give details on this, so I will know what you are talking about...!
•I am the first president in US history to order a US attack AND military occupation of a sovereign nation, and I did so against the will of the United Nations and the vast majority of the international community.
Because the UN is a bunch of babies (read my siggy, we don't need permission)! We did what the UN threatened, but never followed through on...
•I have created the largest government department bureaucracy in the history of the United States, called the "Bureau of Homeland Security"(only one letter away from BS).
An attempt is better than sitting on his butt, like "other" administrations did... and WHEN they do something that saves your butt, you will thank them (how do you know they already haven't???).
•I set the all-time record for biggest annual budget spending increases, more than any other president in US history (Ronnie was tough to beat, but I did it!!).
There is no pleasing anyone... complain about cutting unemployment (above), cutting healty care (above), etc.... do you think these things are free??? Not to mention that fighting war is MUCH more expensive now... Civil war bullets cost pennies, smart bombs are millions!!!
•I am the first president in US history to compel the United Nations remove the US from the Human Rights Commission.
you mean the commission headed by Libya, and other third world murdering countries???
•I am the first president in US history to have the United Nations remove the US from the Elections Monitoring Board.
What Elections do they monitor.... and who cares about the UN anyway!
•I removed more checks and balances, and have the least amount of
congressional oversight than any presidential administration in US history.
List the removed checks and balances..... you can't, because they can't be removed by the president (that's why they are called checks and balances.... to keep one of the 3 arms of govt. from becoming too strong)!
•I rendered the entire United Nations irrelevant. I withdrew from the World Court of Law.
THANK YOU GWB..... about time we showed the UN for what they are!
•I refused to allow inspectors access to US prisoners of war and by default no longer abide by the Geneva Conventions.
Prove it! Terrorists are not POW's... so I'm not sure who you are talking about. BTW, do you know what the Geneva convetion says??? I do...
•I am the first president in US history to refuse United Nations election inspectors access during the 2002 US elections.
UN has nothing to do with US elections.... READ the US CONSTITUTION!
•I am the all-time US (and world) record holder for most corporate campaign donations.
Until the next election!
•The biggest lifetime contributor to my campaign, who is also one of my best friends, presided over one of the largest corporate bankruptcy frauds in world history (Kenneth Lay, former CEO of Enron Corporation).
and all of your friends are perfect??? Oh, how much did Ken Lay contribute??? because that is limited by Federal Law, and if he contributed more thatn allowed, that makes Ken Lay guilty, not GWB...
•I spent more money on polls and focus groups than any president in US history.
So what?
•I am the first president to run and hide when the US came under attack (and then lied, saying the enemy had the code to Air Force 1)
Not to add creedence to this statement in any way, but the continental US has never before been attacked! And if I remember correctly, GWB sat in a school in Florida for several hours, while the 9/11 attacks were going on. Then, Dick Cheney was the person that was "hidden" away, for days... not GWB!
•I am the first US president to establish a secret shadow government.
How do you know about this, if it is a secret???
•I took the world's sympathy for the US after 9/11, and in less than a year made the US the most resented country in the world (possibly the biggest diplomatic failure in US and world history).
Good, maybe fear will work!
•I am the first US president in history to have a majority of the people of Europe (71%) view my presidency as the biggest threat to world peace and stability.
So What... 100% of Europe is made up of Europeans! and 47.9% of all statistics are made up on the spot!!!!
•I changed US policy to allow convicted criminals to be awarded government contracts.
Prove it!
•I set the all-time record for the number of administration appointees who violated US law by not selling their huge investments in corporations bidding for gov't contracts.
You are not required to sell investments.... you have to relinquish control... big difference!
•I have removed more freedoms and civil liberties for Americans than any other president in US history.
Which one have you lost... which ones affect you! Here, let me help...Your right to carry nailclippers on a plane????
•I entered office with the strongest economy in US history and in less than two years turned every single economic category heading straight down.
9/11!
If you insist, I will make comments on the rest, but I think I better get back to work....

Then why did you bother to post in this thread if you're that strong? For the record, I agree w/ you, but I'd rather have a war mongering oil whore than someone who would have shot off a couple rockets and then said 'ok, that's a good day, we showed them.'

Bush and dad have had and his dad currently has a seat on the board of a major corporation that is part of the Saudi oil empire, run by the Saudi's and he is currently receiving a very handsome salary from the Saudi's. Sonny boy will get that as well when he steps down from the Presidency.
No one who reaches the office of President of the United States is that clean. You can't get there without taking money from special interests and not having an agenda of your own. Politics is a very dirty game. I would not have that job if it came with gold shoes and a sceptor.

What corporation schsa? I would like to look that one up, since that would be public record. I had never heard that one.

Remember a few weeks ago, I asked you to re-evaluate your lives. Financially speaking, if you blame Bush for how bad off you are financially now, you must give another person credit for how well you were doing, way back when. The fact of the matter is, folks, most of us are to blame for our own misfortunes.
I do not agree with some things Bush has done, but then, I didn't agree with MANY things Clinton did. If you ever find a candidate you agree with 100%, something is definately wrong. Also, keep in mind, Bush is President, and he is given advice from other members of government. If you blame Bush, blame the rest of the political figures that have helped run the country, because they all have the burden to bear.

This may not have anything to do with what schsa said but I thought it was interesting.
VITAL STATISTICS: Greasing The Machine: Bush, His Cabinet and their Oil Connections
George W. Bush, President
With a mixed bag of business ventures in his background, Bush's best move was to sell a small company he started in the 1970s called Bush Exploration/Arbusto to Spectrum 7, which was later acquired by Harken Energy. In return he received US$600,000 worth of stock, a US$120,000 contract per year and a lot of friends in the Texas oil scene. His presence helped Harken score contracts in the Middle East when the company's management mentioned to the government of Bahrain that President Bush's kid "is on our Board". No doubt Bush's background with Harken will help them in their current struggle against well-organized social movements in Costa Rica, trying to stop this company from offshore oil drilling and exploration. During Bush's campaign for President, oil money gushed into his campaign coffers: US$2.8 million from energy companies and another US$2.3 million from the auto sector. Enron alone donated more than a million dollars to the Republican National Committee. Bush owns stock in General Electric, BP, Duke Energy, ExxonMobil, Newmont Gold Mining Corporation, Pennzoil and Tom Brown, Inc.
Dick Cheney, Vice President
Whether or not Dick Cheney is calling all the shots in the new administration or just most of them he clearly brings oil interests to the White House. After serving as Secretary of Defense under George Bush Sr., Dick left "public service" and settled in Dallas, Texas to head up the world's biggest oil-services company, Halliburton (market value US$18.2 billion). Since 1992, Halliburton has contributed US$1.6 billion to the campaigns of Washington-bound politicians. Cheney's record as a Wyoming Congressman from 1978 to 1989 hints at what's to come. He co-sponsored a measure to open the Arctic National Wildlife Refuge to oil drilling and voted against the Clean Water Act which required industries to release their toxic emission records. Cheney is a member of a group called COMPASS (Committee to Preserve American Security and Sovereignty).

Now Patchouli, :D I went to the search page on the Internet and did a search of George Bush and George W Bush so I could read all the wonderful things they have accomplished in their roles as President and was amazed to find so few articles compared to negative articles. So I only read the wonderful Bush articles because I know how that liberal anti-Bush propoganda is. By the way I also own vast amounts of land along the Atlantic Ocean here in SC if you are interested in buying some. Also have plenty of swamp land around here also.

So you believe that public policy that is implemented in this country does not affect americans? Now that's a new one for me to swallow.
Public Policy and the way it is implemented in any democratic society can change the landscape of everyday life for those who are targeted. I do believe in personal responsiblity in every endeavor in life, however I am not blind to the fact that special interest are very influential in getting bad policy through legislation, and they are in cohoots with our very own leaders.
The President of this country is the,"Commander and Chief" and bares the brunt of criticism for the economy. He appoints his administration and therefore must prove to the American people that he capable of running this country effectively.
I don't decry Bush's actions because of his party affiliation, but because of his policies that have changed the landscape of American politics here and abroad.
Personally, I think both parties are crooked in alot of ways but never have I seen a President who has operated with few checks and balances. Our forefathers implemented checks and balances for a reason, because they knew of the possible corruption and abuse of power that a sitting President could obtain without such laws.
So whether it be democratic, republican(not bush), independent(which is highly unlikely) who wins the election it does not matter to me, as long as they do the job well and cater to the needs of the people, not too special interest, or their own little friends, or too coporations. JMO

If you would get to know people here, most of them are anything but rude, but won't accept someone being rude or mean either. I like it here, seems that sometimes people are used to how other boards are allowed to rip and shred people apart, we aren't like that here usually. We talk, and discuss. We usually all agree at some point to agree to disagree if something is not what we think. But I think most people here are friends:
