Chopped sirloin? Here it's sirloin, ground (rarely 'chopped') sold by pound or in patties.

99.9% of the time it is the better hamburger ground up just like hamburger with bacon around it and about $3.29 to $3. 69 a lb.. Cheaper to buy hamburger and bacon and do it yourself....lol

Ok guys, let me clear up a couple of things for you. Chopped sirloin is not gound meat. It is not hamburger, that is ground sirloin. Chopped sirloin is a steak that has been run through machine twice, it's run through in one direction, turn half way around and run through again. It is a way of tenderizing the meat. You don't form patties out of it, because it is a whole piece of meat, it just sorta looks like a thin hamburger, but not. And tastes so much better than a burger.

Hope this clears up the mystery of chopped sirloin versus ground sirloin.

Here in NC we call them cube steaks. Flour them and brown them down, make gravy of the drippings and pour it over the meat = country fried steak. YUM YUM!!!!!!!!
