I talked to my mother the other day, I guess my grammy is getting really bad. More mental then anything. Now she is seeing people who arent there. My mom was saying that one day grammy was yelling at someone so mom ran up and checked and no one was there, grammy said that my little sis was there and she was hiding under the bed. Grammy was all mad at her because she wouldnt get out and talk. :( :( She gets her times all messed up, she will fall asleep in her chair in the afternoon, wake up around 4:30 5 and think that it is morning. so she goes and gets dressed and goes and gets her breakfast.

This really came fast. It wasnt that long ago I would take her to the store and up to my house for dinner. She was fine.

I guess I am trying to distance myself from all this because I dont know how I am going to deal with it when she finally goes. My grammy was the only one who cared enough to take me in when my mother left me. If it werent for her I would have been put into foster care. She was about 73 when she took me in, that was almost 14 years ago. I just dont know what I am going to do.

Think of it this way if you want, everyone needs guardian angels, and maybe God has decided she would make the best one, and maybe she is ready to do that. She will always be there with you in spirit, so you won't be losing her, she will just not be having to deal with the struggles of this life, I hope that you find peace through this time. Pm me if you need. (((((HUGS)))))

This is soo sad, I feel for you and your grammy, {{hugs}}
It is hard to try and deal with a close loved-one leaving us behind, I remember 20 yrs ago my granny left me, and i too was raised by her, I remember worrying that over time I would forget her, what she looks like, how she smells, her voice, and all her ways about herself, well like I said she has been gone 20 yrs, and I still to this day remember everything and some about her, oh-it is such a great feeling when I do set and remember her, that makes me feel alot better too.
I enjoy telling my girls about her, I know my face lights-up when I do.:)
Take care:)

Do have all of the medication that she is taking evaluated by an independent pharmacy. Older people see many different doctors and some of her problem may be drug interaction. It is very common among older people.

She only goes to one dr, same one for years. Because she has gotten to where she cant remember much my aunt and mother keep her meds put up so she cant get them. She was forgetting to take them or taking double doses. Now my aunt and mother give them to her when she is supposed to take them. So it isnt with the meds, just something she is going through. :(
