The belt broke on my VERY old sewing machine. I bought one at Walmart and it's too big. I have tried using rubber bands, panty hose loops and nothing is working. Any ideas?
Thanks for any help.

I live in such a small town that the only thing open today is the MiniMart/BP. I wanted to get started yesterday. If the vacuum belt doesn't work, I'll have to wait till tomorrow.
Thanks for all the ideas, folks. I'll take the belt with me tomorrow to the hardware, auto and tractor supply places.
Thanks again.
