Does anyone here e-file their taxes? If so, how do you do it? Do you have to buy software? I'd like to try it this year. Thanks for any info.:)

i have used www.Turbotax.com for the last 3-4 yrs and its awesome.
They do charge but remove it straight from your refund before you see anything so i dont really miss it.Mine ran $52 as when i called H&R they said it would be $460 to file...you do the math...i efiled!

I filed 1/21 and my moola $$ will be direct deposited 1/30(tomorrow) in my acct.....

It walks ya thru every question and is basically fool proof if ya ask me.

Good luck!

i did efile last year and it was free after rebate.. I won't do it if it costs money !! That was thru turbotax, also.. . But I can wait a couple of extra weeks not to have that extra cash that's just going into my savings account any how!

I used TaxAct this year, you can dl it free and pay $7.95 to efile. I filed Jan 18th and the IRS said my refund should be direct deposited on Jan 30th. This was my first year efiling, will definately do it again :)

I use TaxCut and they charge $14 something to e-file but then they rebate it so it's like not being charged anything. And it is really easy to use. This is my second year using it and I love it.

I think ezmoney posted a thread w/ lots of sites. Several of them are free if you make below a certain amount and no, you shouldn't have to download a thing... lemme see if I can find the thread.

Here it is:
