MY KIDS ARE GOING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!They are 2 hours late, but they're going!!!!!!!!!!!!! (I bought a bottle of wine yesterday, just in case they didn't go today LOL). My condolences to those of you who get some more quality time with your youngsters today.

uggghhhhh!!! Day 3 here. WTF! I'm in the city and my road is clear as a bell. I thought for sure there'd be school. awwww man!

Ours finally went back to school today but not without mishap. Our younger son's bus got stuck on ice a couple of blocks from me so I had to get him off the bus and take him to school. The neighborhood streets are still icy in places but I guess they can't close forever!

I know how you feel DBD! Last year the girls were out 6 school days in a row because of snow! I was about to pull my hair out!

I just put my two on the bus about 20 minutes ago, they were on a 2 hour delay.

I miss snow days! Don't get them in the Houston area, go figure! LOL. Have to add a funny--there was frost on our car when DH went to work Tuesday, and so his leftover-from-MO ice scraper was in the front floorboard. One of the guys from his job rode to the warehouse with DH, and had no clue what it was! Martin tried to explain to him it was to chip the ice off of your car; he wanted to know how ice would get on your car thick enough to be chipped off! This is a guy who also can't comprehend the idea of a basement. Native Texans sometimes baffle me!

Oh I feel for ya Sheila. All of my kids except my 5 yr old are homeschooled. He goes to headstart. In the last 3 weeks he has gone to school 3 days. When he is home it is mom ...mom... mom.... What? ummmmmmm.....I think I forgot. And he does this over and over. :) lol

LOL I love having my kids home ,but they are busy all day with their schoolwork. Usually my little one is very independant , but I think because the older kids are busy he is lost.

Wow the streets have to have at least a foot on them for them to cancel school around here. We had below zero weather and snow storms and maybe 1 or 2 snow days this year

I dont know what it would take to get a snow day here....we live in the Upper Peninsula of MI and it has been -0 and in the 10's for forever and the most snow we have had in years...ya think we get snow days??? NNOOOOOO lol I really dont know what more it would take for them to cancell school here!

today they called school off for -5 degrees...but that was ONLY becasue it was windy..if it hadn't have been windy they would not have closed the school.
