Grandpa in 1998 with my oldest son.

Please pray for my Grandpa, well actually my Great-Grandpa, he's back in the hospital again :( My Grandma took him to the ER last night because he was having chest pains again and they kept him to speak to a heart specialist, which they did today. He needs a cathedar(SP) in his heart, but they can't do surgery because they're afraid he'll have another stroke, which they're pretty sure he wouldn't live thru. Right now they're waiting to speak to another specialist and find out if there is anything that can be done. He and my Grandma raised me, and I'm not sure how I'll go on once they're gone.

Thank you all! Sometime in the morning they're supposed to run a chemical stress test on him and see what can be done. They're keeping him pretty sedated because he keeps trying to hit people and rip his IV out. He's 90 something (I lost count) and I'm just not sure how much more he can take.

My grandpa=dad is having heart problems too, he told that it seems to him that winters make it worse, depression, too many holidays and such. I pray your grandpa will be better and for healing of his heart and for strength. And for your grama that she will be able to hold up through this whole deal. God bless you and your family.

They did the test today, but we haven't heard about the results. His regular heart doctor is going away for the weekend so there is someone else filling in, so we probably won't get the results back until Monday. Grandma came home tonight, she's planning on going back tomorrow morning and spending the weekend because it's supposed to snow more. He's already asking when he can come home - he thinks he's the only one that knows how to care for his mules and horses - he's definately as stubborn as them!

I thank each and every one of you for praying for him! He needs all he can get!

Again, THANK YOU ALL!

His stress test came back ok, nothing had changed since he had the last one done, and they thought he would get to come home today or tomorrow. Then he apparently had a rough night, talking out of his head and acting crazy, and they couldn't get him to wake up this morning. They're running more tests, thinking he possibly had another stroke, but they just don't know. They're also going to try and take him off some of his medicines to see if they're what's making him crazed. We know it's not the meds because he was like that at home too, some days he didn't have a clue about anything, he didn't know who I was, he wanted to know where his mother was, stuff like that. Hopefully the doctors will figure something out soon!

It was his meds making him unable to wake up, but last night wasn't too good, his nurse said he only slept about 15 minutes all night long and was fighting everyone and talking crazy again. They're taking a scan of his brain today too see how much damage the stokes have done and they're pretty possitive that he has had another since he's been in the hospital. They said the only thing he's really making any sense about is my 5 year old son (his absolute favorite grandchild) so I told the kids he was in the hospital this morning and Colby's supposed to come home early today so we can take the kids to see Grandpa. Grandma is also pretty sure when/if ever he gets out she'll have to put him in the nursing home again because she doesn't think she can control him. Last time he was only in the nursing home a month, but he wasn't nearly this bad, so I don't really know what will happen.

I REALLY wish we hadn't gone to the hospital! I hadn't told the kids until yesterday so I couldn't go see Grandpa, and we shouldn't have went! He's 5'8" tall and only weighs 116 pounds. He looks so bad and he's so confused! He's gotten very violent with Grandma and the nurses. When we got there they had the door closed so I figured they were changing him or something, so I had Colby and the kids wait in the hallway and I went in. He had tried to go to the bathroom in the corner of the room and wet all over himself and he was trying to push past Grandma and his nurse to get out into the hallway. I took him by the hand and told him the kids wanted to visit with him but he needed to go sit down so they could get past the door. Grandma kept saying don't grab ahold of him, he'll hit you, but he's never been voilent with me (even before when he was in the hospital and trying to climb thru the bedrail). The nurse put a wetpad in one of the chairs and I got him to sit down. It was all I could do to keep from crying when I went out and got Colby and the kids. He kept tryign to get up out of his chair (which he can't even do on his own) so he could, and I quote from him "Run out into the hallway", so I was standing in front of him to keep him from falling. He was halucinating and kept saying there was something on me and pulling at my pants legs, which made the kids nervous, so they sat on the other side of the chairs and colored. His nurse gave him a shot of something to calm him, which made him get sleepy, so Grandma and I helped him to the bed. I sent the kids back into the hall so we could get him changed before he went to sleep. I had to pick him up while Grandma pulled his wet clothes off his feet and get his dry ones back on. Then Colby and the kids came back in and Colby lifted him up into the bed and I rubbed his head until he fell asleep. They're trying to get him into a nursing home, but his doctor says he doesn't need it, so one of Grandpa's nurses is trying to talk some sence into the doctor. Hopefully we'll find something out about that today, and they're supposed to get his brain scan back today, so we'll know what's going on there. There is no way Grandma can take care of him by herself! I cannot beleive that the doctor is such a moron and can't see that! If you've made it thru thanks for listening! I'm not sure I would have. I really do appreciate all the prayers and I just hope someone up there ^ is listening to them!

Well Grandma got them to release him today, they weren't doing anything for him anyway, and they won't transfer him to a nursing home, so she got his doctor to release him. He's sleeping on the couch in their family room now, and doesn't even know it. Colby asked him if he could borrow his keys to unlock the garage and use his air tools, and he said "Yeah, and don't be in any hurry to bring them back up to him because it's going to be a while before they let him go home" He said he was just going to lay down on the couch and wait for the doctor to come again. My Grandma, my Aunt, and I are going to trade off shifts so someone can be there all the time with my Grandma and Grandpa, things are about to get crazy around here!

Edited to make myself clearer: My Grandma, my Aunt, (Great-Grandma/pa's daughters) and I are going to trade off shifts so someone can be there all the time with my (Great)Grandma and (Great)Grandpa, things are about to get crazy around here!
