i just got an email from my aunt. She isn't going to be a grandma after all.
Julie was suppose to be 7 weeks and she went for a check up Tuesday and there is no heartbeat. the dr thinks the baby died at 6 weeks.
Mark and Julie just got married last June and this baby was going to be the first on both side. They live in CA so its hard for anyone to see them.
please pray for them. They're pretty torn up by this.

Most times in pregnancy you can't hear the heartbeat on the fetal doppler until you are 10 weeks. When I was 7 weeks they couldn't find it but at 9 weeks 5 days we did. So there may be hope yet.

If it helps in any way to know, but many first time pregnancies are miscarried. A strange, horrible, but true fact. Just keep encouraging them when they feel its time for them to try and get pregnant again. My mother, sister and I all miscarried our first pregnancies. Its a hellacious thing and makes you wonder as a woman, WTF did I do wrong??
and I am in NO WAY saying all women miscarry the 1st time either.

My niece, my stepdaughter and my stepdaughter-in-law all miscarried with their first pregnancy. All with in the same year. My niece now has a 19 month daughter, my stepdaughter a 15 month daughter and my stepdaughter in-law is due May 24 with first baby! It does seeem like more people I know are miscarrying the first one. Why is that?
I am sending hugs and prayers to you and your family! I know how heartbreaking what you are going through is!

Mom's old neighbor had MANY miscarriages (something like 5) before having her 2 sons, there is most assuredly hope for them!!
Keep trying! ((and in the meantime, the practice is lots of fun, no? ;)))
