Married gals: what was your old, new, borrowed, blue?

I just want to know what everyone used for the traditional "something old, something new, something borrowed, something blue... Wedding is in February. I need to figure this out!!!!!

OK mine were as followed:

Something Old: Grandma's Handkerchief
Something New: Undies (pretty white ones LOL)
Something Borrowed: Mom's Necklace
Something Blue: Garter

I had a blue bow on my hankie. borrowed my moms tiara (also the old)
The new was my gown

New...my dress and a new penny in my shoe for luck

Old: Family bible (mother of pearl with gold cross)
I carried this with a single white orchid instead of bouquet
New: Pearl necklace - gift from fiance
Borrowed: Mom's earrings
Blue: Garter

And a sixpence in my shoe for good luck ... hurt like he!! but it must have worked ... been married for 33 years!

My blue was the cast I wore on my leg since I broke my ankle two days before. I wouldn't recommend that. LOL

My old was a pair of sandals I had to wear instead of my shoes because of the cast. Oh and I wore my grandmother's ring I was given when I was little.

I don't think I borrowed anything but it was probably the cast since I gave it back when they took it off. :rolleyes:

My new was the little bag I made so I could put my glasses and little things in when I walked down the aisle. My dress wasn't new but I did buy new motifs to sew on it.

my dress was old/new~ old to someone else but new to me (LOL)
borrowed?? ~probably jewery of some sort
blue was the bow on my garter. ( i have no idea where it is to this day.)


To me none of this was as important as it was to start my life with my best friend!! :)

Old and borrowed ~ A white sundress my mom wore for her wedding that my grandma had made. (Tho, she ended up giving it to me, at the time it was borrowed):)
New ~ Jewelry my husband got me and maybe my shoes.
Blue ~ I wore a blue ribbon in my hair.

My blue was a sapphire ring I have that was my grandmother's, my borrowed was a pair of my mom's earrings, and my new was my dress. I didn't really have anything old unless you count the ring. Or the style of my dress- we had a Renaissance wedding :)
