You can take a dose of oral benadryl, too. Try an oatmeal or baking soda bath.

When I get hives I take a cold shower, for what ever reason it helps with the itching. Also benadryl helps.

i keep a tube of zinc oxide cream [not ointment] at all times - my younger daughter has extremely sinsitive skin- works over night-

if u have dry or chapped skin.......... best thing i have found for my kids is plain old vaseline- just glob it on b4 bed! works better than all the expensive lotions and balms..........

hope u get rid of it soon- i know my girl cries with it sometimes!

I have allergies and pretty much get them from that all the time, my body reacts this way before I get the sneezez and all that stuff, you can buy an over the counter generic that is equal to claritan a month supply is around 12-13.00 much cheaper than claritan which is also over the counter now. Just ask your pharmacist they can tell you which one it is. Good Luck, hope you get to feeling better.

My doctor prescribed a prescription antihistimine for me when I had hives. It worked!

Try a cold shower with a very mild soap and some gentle baby powder...

Start with the Benedryl. If that doesn't stop them call your doctor and see if they can recommend something. The last time I had hives it was a reaction from taking antibiotics. The hives lasted a month. It was not very nice. I had to go to work in sweats because they were the only things that didn't make my skin go crazy.

Call the doctor, take an oatmeal bath (in tepid water), and take benedryl.
