Need opinions from other RCI members on hotels

If there are any other RCI members out there please share your experiences at the hotels you have booked through them. We have been a member for 5 years but we only have used it for Cape Cod and Daytona Beach hotels and would like to go somewhere new for our next vacation. This vacation will only be me and DH no kids (can you see me jumping up and down for joy through your computer LOL!!!!!), have not had a vacation with just me and hubby in a looonnngggg time. So I need a place that is more adult oriented and would like somewhere warm. If you have stayed in a great hotel through RCI please post where it was and what you liked best about it.

We have been to Florida several times, using RCI. We stayed in Condos though not hotels. Is this what you mean? I did not know they had hotels except in Vegas. We stayed at the Hollywood Sands in Hollywood Florida..older place but very nice, right on the beach also at the Sea Gardens Beach and Tennis resort in Pompano Beach Florida. This place was great, nice rooms, organised activities if you want to do them, right on the beach, place on site to rent cabanas, jet skis, para-sailing (not to mention the HUNK..name's Jon...that runs this rental place!)also there is a pool, and really friendly people who run the place. We also stayed at a place in Delray Beach Florida once...the condo was nice but Delray was a boring place.

We own at Celebration world Resort in Kissimee FL. and love it there. We have always had very good experiences through RCI. After staying in a resort, I will never go back to a hotel when I am on vacation. They are so nice!

We stayed in a condo in Branson, and absolutely loved it. Although we had our 4 kids with us, I know couples that have also gone there and had a wonderful time. Obviously this time of year it isn't warm, but it's great in the summer.

As ladyseals says, the Kissimmee area is also great. Hubby and I spent 4 days there last year WITHOUT kids and had a great time at Disney.

We are going to Gatlinburg this summer (Treetops resort), and really looking forward to it.

The bottom line is to research any area that you might be interested in going to, and then make your decision. We always try and stay at the gold crown resorts because they really are a cut above. With a family of 6 I would never consider a hotel room when you get so much more for your money with a condo.
