Baby Aaron

Ok everyone, I just wanted to say keep Baby Aaron in your prayers today, he goes for his surgery this morning for his palate as most of you know, he was born with cleft lip and palate and he has already had his lip repaired and nose, and they are doing his palate today, kinda scary, ya know. I just will be happy when all this is over. I hate seeing him go through all of this, and see him in all the pain afterwards, and all I think about is if he is wondering why mommy let them hurt him, anyhow I know its for the best, and all, but it really hurts me seeing him go through all of this. And Tami, I havent forgotten ya hun, I will email ya as soon as I get back. We should be back home Tuesday, as long as there is no complications, and will post more pictures then, and thank you everyone for your ongoing support and for caring. Oh Beth! He is just cuter than ever. I hope and pray all goes well and he heals quickly. I know how hard this must be on you. :( One consolation is that he is so young he won't remember the surgeries, the worst pain is for you. (((((Beth and Aaron))))))

I am sure that everything will be fine. My little niece has had the same surgery and now, you cannot even tell! They have really come a long way in the advancement of these type of surgeries.

He is a little dollMAN!! Prayers that everything goes okay, I'm sure it will.

BTW, I had 3 surgeries on my toes for benign tumors before I was 5 years old, and skin grafts from my hips were included in these surgeries. But I don't remember ever holding my Mom or parents responsible or wondering why they let it happen to me. I just remember being a little scared when they had to leave me at night, SO glad they don't make parents leave anymore.

UPDATE:
We just got back home. I am so wore out. Poor Little Aaron is such a great baby, He had the surgery and he was in alot of pain, they kept him on iv's and on tylenol w/codeine, thank god for tylenol w/codeine, he hasnt drank very much formuala or juice, that is all he is allowed to have and we have to use the syringe or sippy cup, and he is not allowed to have any food, just clear liquids for 10 days, that is going to be hard, because he loves eating. well thank you all for listening to me and for being there, I got to go, he is awake now and really cranky.http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid101/p1001fe4e5a14d28dc209cd568f8841d3/f9e19c1e.jpg.thumb.jpg

Awwwww bless both of your hearts! 10 days is a long time to have to be on a liquid diet:( I can understand though, don't want anything scraping the surgery site. I hope he feels better soon, and the next 10 days fly by for both of you. {{{{{hugs}}}}}

Just wanted to update you all, He seems to be doing alot better, but it is hard to get him to eat, he maybe drinks 3 ounces of formula a day and thats all. dont have to change his diaper for about 5 hours. I am scared to death because he isnt drinking that much, but they tell me to just give him time. I am so tired, at least my mom came to stay with me and help out, I would not know what to do. right now he just went to sleep. we go back to the plastic surgeon next Thursday and then we will know how it really went and what is in store for us next. I hate this, it seems like it will never end. Thank you all for everything and for your onging support.

Such a big bed for such a tiny baby. (I know he isn't really tiny for his age...he just looks that way in that big hospital bed.)

He is absolutely beautiful! But...your heart must be very heavy because of all the pain he must endure. I think the only blessing will be that this is done while he is so young and he will probably never remember any of it.
