My Ex Husband Passed Away

After a short battle with Hepititis B and liver failure, my ex husband passed away this morning at 5:40 a.m. in a Dallas hospital. He had been a coma since this illness hit him and he never came out of it. I was unable to travel to get to where he was and to let my kids see their dad for the last time. I am awaiting to hear about funeral proseadings and other info. His condition was so rare that the family is donating his body to research so maybe they can someday find a cure for this disease. The family plans to cremate him afterwards. My children and I need prayers since we are having a hard time dealing with Jason's death at such a young age he was only 31. Please keep us in your prayers and close to your hearts during this time of sadness. May you rest in peace Jason...I will always love you.

My prayers are with you, but don't feel guilty that you couldn't get the kids there in time to see him. It seems to me that they will have happier memories of him if the last one isn't of him being in a coma.

Thank you to everyone here who sent their thoughts and prayers to my family and my ex's family. It truely has been the hardest thing I have ever had to deal with in life so far. My former mother in law, Judy, and my ex's wife, Gerri, are trying so hard to cope as I am. I did receive quite some shocking news. Jason had left me as the beneficiary on his life insurance and had never changed it when we got divorced. So now the money will come to me and his children. I was in tears when I heard. He was not one to like to pay child support when he was alive so maybe this is his way of helping to take care of the children now. The Lord works in mysterious ways. I am going to be reimbursing Jason's brother for the costs of the viewing of the body and the cremation since the rest of the family was unable to pay for it. Its the least I can do to help them out in this time of sadness. Again thank you to all of my friends here at BBS...without you I would really be an emotional mess. Thank you.
