My daughter has a security system on here house. It is with a local company and there are thousands of people around this part of the state that use this company. Well a man with the company came by yesterday and said that he had left a tester wire in the cabinet where he put the security box in. Ok, he got it out and started telling her his sad life history on the way out. Well this morning he called her a little before 6 AM and said there was a problem in her system and said he was coming by. He came by in the security van and his uniform on. So he did what he had to do and left. She started geting her children ready for school and went to give one of the children her hyperactive med. It just so happened that she kept the meds in that same cabinet. Well it was'nt there and also my daughters tranquillizers weren't there also. She called the company and they didn't authorize anyone to come there. The man works for them but it seems that he came on his own. She immediatly call the police. They found him a few hours later and there were no pills on him or in the van.He probably already had someone to sell it to. They arrested him, I think that he has a history.
Why in the world wouldn't a company that you trust check the history of a person that they hire. A company like this is supposed to give you peace of mind by protecting your property and your family.
The company assured her after this that if they ever sent anyone they would call her from the company before they came. They also canged her code.
It seems that you can trust noone any more.

WOW that's scary
He could just as easily been a rapist, and came back later on when she was home alone. Or what if he had came back at night and stolen the children. or while they were gone had robbed the house. I think if I was your daughter I would totally freak out.

W:eek:W! I'm glad they're okay. Yea, he could have just as easily been a rapist or something else. He's dumb too. Did he think your daughter would just forget she had her daughter's medicine in there?

You know that is really dumb because he just lost his job over it. He even went without authority from the company. I wonder what he was thinking unless he was seeing big dollar signs. They always tell you not to let people in your house unless they can show that they work for the company. Well he was driving the company van and had on the uniform.
She had put the meds up there in a small plastic box to keep it away from her little 2 year old. Because he knows how to open anything, and when he wants to get something he will climb anything. Well he couldn't climb up there unless he had a ladder.

Another tip is not to just look outside and make sure they're in the company van - but if you haven't requested service call the company and make sure they sent them. They've had Sears delivery men - not saying anything about the company, but that actually happened - come back to a house in uniform in the company van to 'check' something and rape the woman inside.

I think they ought to send a man and a woman to the house together and also maybe switch the people around that go out so that maybe you would have less of a chance of conspiracy, my husband always says locks are made for honest people, that is a scary thought!!

She is young and inexperienced and she lives in the country out from a small town. We don't have too many things happen here. But crime has been picking up in the past years. I really think that this has taught her a lesson. You just live and learn a lot as you go through life. I know I have learned that you can't trust a lot of people throught my years. She lived in Houston for a while and learned a lot there, because she had several things happen there, like getting her car stolen from her appartment that had a gate with security. Also a peeping tom at her window.

I would have probably done the same thing that she did and I wouldn't have thought twice about it. I live in a very safe neighborhood and if I had a security system and someone from the security office came by to because they thought that they had left something I wouldn't think twice about letting them in.

She did what seemed natural to her. Too bad that she was taken advantage of. Even if you are extremely careful this could happen to you.
