No, I'm not kidding. I just found out today that my precious, precious landlord who actually CARED about this property is dead. :( :( :( :( I knew he was in the hospital, because his home had a major flood and I guess all the chemicals that they were using got the best of him. He was older anyways and had some health issues. His lungs got all tore up, and the next thing I know Becky, his wife, is telling us that his kidneys are failing. Tuesday, when he passed, was the day they were going to release him to come home. Well he went home alright...just wish it wasn't so soon. I only knew him 2 months but he was such a wonderful person. I'm gonna miss him. :(

Gads, my first reaction was your last landlord had died and you were going to be passing out the champagne.

Sorry about this one. I hope they don't decide to sell the property.

Gads, when I first read this I thought that your last landlord had died.

Sorry to hear this.

That is very sad. It's not often you hear about a landlord that actually cares. I'm sorry to hear that and I hope you get another good landlord.:(

Well, We went to the visitation tonight. It just didn't really look like Earl, not my Earl. He was a great human being. Becky, his wife told us tonight not to worry about the property. She won't be selling.
But it's still not the same.

Went to visit Becky today (his wife), learned a lot about Earl... He was 63, she is 48. Didn't say how they met but they were together 23 years. He had 5 kids, from previous marriage/relationship. Found out how he died... rare disease that strikes suddenly- there was a sudden, massive amount of fluid around his heart and it gets to be so severe that they can't even do dialasis (sp), and that's what got him.
Becky's hanging in there... better than me actually.
Go here and look for Earl Inabinett: http://www.johnsoncitypress.com/default.asp?SectionID=OBITUARIES&iDate=1/10/2004#8735 :(
