OK, here's the deal. My company Christmas party is on Dec 12. The lawyer's office that my sister used to work at is also having their party on the 12th. This guy is a super big shot lawyer, the party is HUGE, they have it every year. I was planning on going to my company party, but my mom and sis are going to the other one. I'm not sure which way to go. Here are the details.

Other party: HUGE event, lots of celebs, open bar, formal buffet type thing, not sure where it is being held this year but it will be someplace very upscale. Everything is FREE

Company party: Starting out at the Blue Martini (a club) where they will have a buffet and open bar, then going to the Improv across the street to see a comedy show, drinks and snacks served during the show, then back to the Blue Martini till whenever, more open bar. Everything is FREE

Pros of the OTHER party:
Shaq, Vanessa Williams, Chris Tucker, Kim Fields, Malik Yoba(mmmmmmm yummy), the girl from Coyote Ugly and a bunch of other celebs are gonna be there. Michael Jackson was supposed to go but he's kinda tied up at the moment! LOL

My mom and sis are going

My best friend (a guy) REALLLLLLY wants to go

I can wear my dress from last year.

OPEN BAR!

Cons:
Miss my company Christmas party

Pros of company party:

Its my company party! LOL

OPEN BAR!

I will know everyone there.

Cons of company party:

It's my company party! LOL

Have to buy something to wear. I have worn the dress I have for the last 2 years and I am NOT wearing it again.

So what should I do??????

I'd go to the other party. So what if you miss your company party you see those people everyday. The other one sounds like something I wouldn't want to miss.

Would it be possible to go to both. You could go to your company party for a little while then scoot on over to the other party. I certainly wouldn't miss the one with all the celebs!

I would go to both as well. Nothing says you have to stay the whole time at either one :D

I'd have to say go to where the celebs are!!!

Its not like you'd just get to see them everyday!!!

I agree with these guys. Go to the one where the celebs are, then scooch on over to your company party. I mean, yeah, meeting those celebs could be a once in a lifetime opp, when seeing your co-workers is an almost everyday of your life opp. LOL

Yeah go to both and just think how envious your co-workers will be that you get to go to the celeb party. Really it's an all night thing so you will have time to do them both. Lucky you!!!

Yep, go to both! Haven't you ever changed clothes in the car to go to two parties LOL
Live a little girlie!
Have fun!

I'd go to the OTHER one UNLESS my company or the people I worked with would be hurt that I ditched them for celebs - people I don't even know. In that case, I'd go to the company party. Friends always come first. Of course, I'm not a real star struck person. :D

However, if Vin Diesel was going to be there, I'd sell my co-worker's souls to go. :D :p ;)

go to the other party early. Go meet your group at the improv and then back to the other party or stay with your group. Whatever suits your fancy. No reason not to go to both if you can.

I'm going to be the odd ball here but none of those celebrities interest me in the least so I would probably go to my own company party but do what feels right for you. :)

May I ask why you would go to the lawyer's party? Is is open to just anyone or by invitation?

Well, it's not possible to go to both. The lawyer's party is in Stuart, my company party is in West Palm. It will be a good hour and I wanna drink so I will not be driving.

Iowakat, my sister worked at this lawyer's office, so she still has friends that work there. Admission is an unwrapped toy. My mom and sister have invitations, but you do not need an invite to go. Anyone can go, admission is an unwrapped toy.
