Just wanted to see who else gets migraines on here?
I get them really bad. I take medicine daily to prevent and take medicine when they happen. I always see auras before they begin and sometimes cant feel my left side when it happens!
How about you guys?

I use to get them nearly everyday. Thankfully since my thyroid surgery I haven't had ANY:D:D
You definately have my sympathy, migraines suck! I always took excederine migraine....didn't completely get rid of them but it would take alot of the edge off.

I'm on Zomig and Fioricet. I get some mean auras, with loss of vision or the *black shadows* as I call them. One minute all I see are colors, the next my vision goes black. One of my new pre-migraine symptoms is vertigo. As if it wasn't bad enough before. The Zomig can handle some of the pre-migraine symptoms and doesn't do anything really for the actual migraine pain. That's where the Fioricet comes in.

I take Excedrine Migraine or Excedrine Tension Headache. The last time I tried a prescription is messed me up. I couldn't walk, no one could wake me up it was like I was in a coma or something.

*making mental note to choke the stress inducers* LOL< then there goes my whole family!!!
Yes, I get them, just started too. I take Imitrex, and if that doesn't work, then I go and get a shot.
I see the auras and "flashes"-resembles a camera flash and my right eye feels like it's swollen.
I am still keeping a journal to see what type of pattern I have so that I can know when it's coming.

I used to take excederine migrane, but I got to a point where even that didnt work. I have vistaril that I take now and it seems to work pretty good. Only prob with the vistaril is it knocks me out. So I have to be sure hubby is home before I take it. Also helps with the anxiety attacks that I get.

I used to take Maxalt mlt(which i love it has been my best treatment since I started having them at 16) and daily propanol, but right now I'm nursing my dot, so I take vicodin(doesn't work makes me feel car sick) and the daily.I would recommend maxalt to anyone, my mom has also started using it and really likes it, she takes the pill form. I took the melt in your mouth kind. Have a great day

I get migranes only when I need to drink more water and get dehydrated, and when my hormones are off, and I give myself another dose of my progesterone cream.

I take inderal everyday. I take Midrin when my migraines began. If, nothing works then i am off to the ER for a shot.
I also put ice in the roof of my mouth sometimes that helps. My neuro suggested this.

I don't get them, thankfully. But my BF does. He takes Excedrine Migraine sometimes... or a shot of morphine in his butt (I think it's funny, he hates them) but since I've made him cut back on caffiene, he doesn't get them often. He hasn't had one in awhile.

I Just wanted to say that the Maxalt MLT is the greatest thing ever invented. ALl you people that take imitrex should try maxalt!! it melts in your mouth. I think it starts working faster than imitrex and it doesnt make you sick to your stomach

I take cataflam for my migraines. I can take 2 pills and within an hour I'm fine, plus I never need to use the booster dose.

I take Duradrin which is generic for Midrin. I take one if I feel one coming on but if it has already started then I take 2.

I used to take Imitrex but can't anymore .. it constricts your blood which is a big no-no for me. I also have taken Exederin Migraine and am currently taking 500 MG's Naproxen (prescription Aleeve) which works pretty good for the most part.
It sucks cause I can't take any triptans (Zomig, Imitrex) and those are what really works the best.
