Just got a certified letter that my husband hasn't been paying the back owed taxes to the IRS!!! I was able to convince the IRS not to take all of our next few paychecks so we can live. We have to have $500.00 before December 12 2003 and the rest ( $1289 ) by March 12, 2004. SO MUCH FOR CHRISTMAS!!!!! I have already called Goodwill and Salvation Army and BOTH have STOPPED taking applications for this year.

sorry to hear that.we owed taxs once and they just took it out of our income tax things seem to work out at xmas time and you will have a few weeks after the 12th so try to keep that in mind
our xmas isnt gonnaa be hardly anything this year but i keep telling myself it could be worse,i could be homeless and have nothing,hang in there

Things got a little better last night. I called the IRS back again and made arrangments to pay what I can each payday ( at least $50 ) and then they would take out whats left out of the tax return we were going to get.

On top of all that I find out that one of my Great Aunts died yesterday. We weren't all that close but my oldest shared the same birthday as her. Guess when I go out later I will pick up a card for my uncle.

We owed the iRS like 4 years ago too and they gave us monthly installments for $100 for a year. I am glad you were able to come to an agreement with them
