I have 4 childred and tons of family so we spend about the same 2000.Lately I have been hitting the after Christmas sales so I have plenty of gifts by Christmas. So that seems to save like 500 dollars so actually my total is about 1500 .

I don't have a lot of people to shop for, so I usually end up spending like $100 maximum. Although, I have a bad habit of going overboard on the packaging and spend about $10 just to fancy up one present with a gift bag, tissue paper, confetti, bows and ribbons...

We usually spend between $300-$400 on the kids (together), and then we still have 3 nieces, and 1 nephew, my kids 2 best friends, MIL, and my best friend had her hubby..we usually don't buy for each other, so we usually go about $800-$1000..usually not over that but we have been known to....but some of that amount is the gift cetificates, and checks I earn toing surveys/rewards programs..

I only have 5 people to buy for and I am keeping it under $300. I generally spend about $500 but I had to put a radiator in my car last month. And that's where my Christmas money went.
I am making aprons for my sisters and then buying matching hot pads and towels. And adding in some speciality bread mixes. The rest are getting gift certificates. This is what happens when there are all adults in your family and no one really needs anything.

Probably around $400 to $500. I don't have kids to buy for, so I only have DH, my mom, some co-workers, and friends.
