Happy Vetrans Day to all our Vets! My dad is a retired Vietnam vet and I guess my DH will be an Operation Iraqi Freedom vet when he finally comes home, not sure about that though.

Another bump from a proud Air Force Vet. I wish the best for all those who served and all those who are serving. My cousin is a part of the operations in the Middle East. Unfortunately, he can only tell us that he is safe and will be home soon.

Support you local VFW and if you have one, visit your local VA hospital. Most of the folks there have no family or their families have forgotten them.

God bless all of our past, present, and future service men and women!!

In loving memory of my grandfather, Ken Hartmann, who fought for our country in WWII. Never forget that freedom wasn't free.

I agree about supporting yur local VA clinic or hospital. It is kind of funny that I am one of the younger people they see there... If I go I am lucky to see anyone under 50 lol... a lot of very old men and women who always start up a chat with me..... I assume because of lonelyness. That is the clinic anyways... the hospital is another story. I hear so many stories of when they were in and I don't hear and opposition of my being in as I hear from some veitnam vets and such (like my uncle). What I see is mostly love and lonelyness.... I live a ways from my clinic so am there early in case something happens and it is always nice talking with thses people... they even bring in a dog now :)
