mineral oil will smother them out, if the ears are badly scratched mix camfophenique (sp?) and mineral oil and apply with a qtip. we used this with our rabbits and it worked pretty fast.

Whenever my rabbits get ear mites, I add a little veg. oil in them, and it is completely clear in a couple of days.

Olive oil of a good quality usually works, too.

I used Ivermectin in my cats ears.You have to be very careful about diluting it right though.
