My cousin is in ICU at our local hospital. She went in to have open heart surgery. She has done really badly and they have had to go back in and work on her heart 5 times. Yes, 5 times due to things like leakage, etc. The leg she had part of the artery taken out of to help repair the heart wasn't getting blood supply for almost 24 hours and turned black, thank goodness they caught it in time and she didn't lose her leg. Now they had her in a drug induced coma for about 2weeks and recently this past week weaned her out of it, but she still isn't coming around. She has opened 1 eye and it has wondered, but I don't believe she is there. She just looks so bad:( She is not even 50 yet and has just recently had her first grandchild. We just recently found out that the doctor who performed her first surgery has 5 lawsuits pending against him:mad: If this would have been known prior, she would have set up her surgery with another dr. Anyway, her youngest son who was recently deployed to Iraq got to come back for emergency leave and is supposed to be sent back on the 18th unless he can get an extended leave. I really hope he can, because I don't believe his mom(my cousin) is going to make it through this.
Please, everyone just say a prayer, chant, send good vibes, whatever it is that you believe in that she will get better. She is just to young to die and her kids are still young as well. He oldest son is 28 and her youngest one is 19.
Her name is Donna Kay
I believe in the power of prayer and I know it can work miracles.
If you made it this far, thank you for reading.

I just wanted to update for those who are wondering. My cousin is being put into a nursing home. The dr's ran cat scans and all tests available and have told us that she has only 1 percent brain function. That is what a newborn baby is supposed to be born with. That 1 percent is what is making her still breath and her heart beat, but that is all they think she will ever be is like a newborn infant that can't do anything but blink, look around, stuff like that. So she has been classified as being brain dead :( I am still praying for a miracle and do so every night. I just can't accept that fact. My sister said that she believes that she is not as brain dead as they think because she was visiting and my cousin's husband would put his hand up to her mouth and tell her to kiss it and my cousin was puckering up like she was kissing his hand. She wouldn't do the puckering if he didn't tell her to, so I am really confused, but hold it as a sign that maybe she is on to much medication right now for her to do much of anything. Anyway, her body and heart are healing from the surgery and all the mistakes, but her mind has not recovered :( I ask that you please keep her in your prayers and her family as well. They are taking this really hard because it was so unexpected and quick. I still believe that God works miracles everyday and maybe with prayers, my cousin can experience one for herself.
