Used to live in Lakeside and there are fires there. I knew Camp Pendleton was on fire, but had no idea about San Diego until today.
Everyone please take a minute to say a little prayer for these people. I hope the fires end soon - so many acres of land has been destroyed, homes lost and lives lost as well.

Momtofuss,
I hope it gets better where you are at. I just heard from a friend in SD and he is going to decide today whether they should leave or not.

San Diego Los Angeles
fire victims
Thousands of San Diegans and Los Angelinos are in danger of losing their lives or homes, as numerous brushfires rage out of control. Please pray for the safety of their homes and lives, as well as the safety of the thousands of firefighters.
Right now, in San Diego County, the sky is black, ash is falling like snow, and you can't go outside without a mask of some sort to help you breathe. Numerous brushfires are burning uncontained and uncontrolled all over the county. Over 100,000 acres have burned, and over 300 homes have been destroyed. Nine lives have been lost, and there are numerous injuries. As a San Diegan, I don't know the statistics for Los Angeles right now, but I know it's bad there, too.
There are thousands who have been evacuated, and they, along with the families who have lost their homes need all the love and support they can get right now. Please pray for our beautiful cities, and all of their residents; that this will be over quickly, and the victims can begin to heal.

They are now listing the exact addressees of homes in Scripps Ranch that were destroyed on the San Diego Union Tribune. When you see whole streets wiped out - boy, that really brings it home. It looks like maybe the weather is going to change and help a little - I hope so.

I've been praying for those people. So so so worried about our friends here and those poor innocent people out there in Cali who are in the path of these fires and who have lost everything to these fires.
For someone to start fires of this magnitude is a very very very evil Person or perhaps persons.

Two of my sisters live outside San Diego. Both had to evacuate, but were able to return home safely, without any damage. Thank God!
Please continue to keep people in this area in your prayers!

Precious Father,
Give comfort to those who have lost loved ones, and those who have lost homes and irreplaceable belongings. Protect the people fighting the fires and those in it's path. Send people to help that will reflect your love and glorify you. In Jesus name, Amen.

I live in the Tierra Santa area in San Diego. We were told to evacuate Sunday morning. We could see a huge wall of fire from our balcony, not even a mile away from us.
We grabbed a bunch of clothes, our important papers, and as many photographs as I could get my hands on, and we had to leave.
Thank God, the fires spared our apartment. The fire came up within 100 feet of our home. The tiny canyon area near our place was completely charred, the safety railing that has big blocks of wood to support it, was half burned. Just 3 min walk down the complex a bit, 8 homes were burned to the ground :(
This is just horrible what is happening here. Julian is now under an inferno in East County, up in the mountains.
I pray that everyone that has been affected gets out safely.

My mom just found out one of the ladys at her work and her 17 year old daughter died in the fire. :( There's also employees in Crest they havn't heard from. We still have not heard from our friends in Pine Valley too. I just want to thank everyone for their prayers. They really mean a lot to our family.
