It's not a fetish..... and if you read the other thread, you'd see my answer to that.... but since you brought it up..... it's not T/cing!

so, where in So. Cal? The desert you say? Could it have been yet another aftershock of the '92 Landers Quake? My gramma lives out there, and she sent me an emailtonight. Must've been before the rumbling.

It was centered 9 miles SSE from Yucca Valley and was a 3.4. I live next to Palm Springs...which is SSE from Yucca Valley...lol.

Brooks....I was born and raised in Salinas...I KNOW those earthquakes quite well!! My parents were still there in 1989 for that Big One.

Yes, this one is a baby one...but sometimes those babies lead to bigger ones and we haven't had a good one for almost 3 years here during the summers.

So gramma definatley felt it, she lives in Joshua Tree. I lived with them and dated my now hubby who lived in Yucca. I used to volunteer at the 29 Palms Marine base. That was 8 years ago! Don't miss them quakes!

Thanks for that link, it was cool! I remember that my gramma would guess the magnitudes and usually get very close. With all the shaking around there, she got alot of practice. A creepy thing that would happen was (I swear) when I sat on the one side of the couch and did my cross-stitch, we'd have an earthquake. I stopped doing that 'cause it was too freaky. I have that couch now, and I swear I wasn't near it, and I wasn't cross-stitching!

I remember that one I was still in King City when it happened.

We didn't feel the one tonight here.

I have only felt one baby quake in my life. There was one that affected Southern Ohio in the 80's, but it was only bug enough to shake the pics on the wall a little.

Glad your okay :)
