My 3 yr old is really excited bout having younger siblings coming. Her thoughts: Mommy ate the babies and now they grow in her tummy!

how many weeks were you when they could tell the sexes of the babies??? I'm also pregnant with twins and I want to know the sexes ahead of time and I was curious about how far along I have to be

it depends really, I'm 17 weeks and a few days and the ultrasound was done yesterday(tues). The tech who did it said depending on the baby(ies) position and if the doc takes the time to look the sex can be determined as early as 16 weeks. Since I was at the specialist's office yesterday for genetic testing and prep for a possible ammio(it's delayed til the dna testing comes back on my fiancee and me) they took the time to check for me. In my case we have to be tested to see if we are cystic fibrosis carriers, (hopefully not). For you ladies that are in the 1st trimester still talk to your doctors bout having this done to you and the father to be. We learned that almost 90% of the caucasian population is a carrier for this. Most insurance companies will pay for the testing. It may save you from alot of heartache later.
