need internet browser help, please read

when i open internet explorer, my line of options (file, facorites, etc) is missing! i've been trying for about 10 or 15 minutes to get them back, and i am getting so frustrated. please help! :(

Have you tried rebooting? That usually brings me back to the right settings.

Do you use Internet Explorer? Try 'dragging' it back down. You still have your address bar, right? That's happened to me before, (but I lost my address bar and everything)...rebooting fixed it. If you still have some of your tool bar visible, you could try dragging it back. Move your cursor up there, and when you get a vertical double-ended arrow, drag away. You may have to drag left to right too, depending on if your 'options' were next to your addy bar or on a row under it. Hope this makes sense. ;)

SYMPTOMS
When you start Internet Explorer 5, the File menu and the Tools menu may be missing.
CAUSE
This issue can occur if you set certain system policies. If you set the policy that restricts access to the Run command on the Start menu, the Tools option may disappear in Internet Explorer. If you set the policy that disable the File menu in Windows Explorer, the File menu in Internet Explorer also disappears.
RESOLUTION
If these options are missing in Internet Explorer, request that the appropriate policy be removed.
