so sorry to hear about your pain, I know how you feel in a way! Wish there was something else you could do to take it away but unfortunately I dont have any suggestions. Could the headache be "worry" realted, not sure if you are nervous about your up comming surgery.

I have a tumor on my thyroid so they are taking out 2/3 of my thyroid. The surgery is scheduled for Tuesday(30th) and the only thing I am allowed to take until then are my thyroid meds and unfortunately they don't do a darn thing for my headaches lol.
They are hopeful that the migraines are from the tumor and maybe they will decrease in strength and frequency after the surgery. If not they want me to see a neurologist I think. I don't care who I see after the surgery....that doesn't help me right now:mad:
Thanks for the hugs:) {{{{{{hugs}}}}}}}

and a heating pad. You need to lay down with the pad under your head, the peas on your forehead.Don't laugh, I do this all the time. :) Rest in a dark room, try to sleep-it's probably stress. Have they checked your blood pressure? When mine is high, the headaches roll in.
Wishing you much luck on the surgery. Sending good headachebegone vibes.

I do heat on my forehead when I have stress headaches. For some reason if I can lay down in a dark room and have that hot damp cloth on my forehead it seems to help.
Try the peas or the cloth. I know how horrible headaches are. I get sinus headaches so bad that I can't see. And the only thing that helps is the heat and sleep.

Thanks guys. I laid down and used an icepack, but I couldn't stand laying there any longer. I am gonna try to get an appt with the chiropractor. Normally he can adjust my neck and it helps for a couple days. {{{{{hugs}}}}}
Hey Mom don't worry I haven't forgotten about you.....I still have to pay you back for yesterday:eek: ;) :p

I spent 1 night in the hospital & then sent home w/some good pain meds. It was just really weird cause I had a 3 inch incision in my throat.Its just a little freaky ya know. Now I have a 3 inch scar.
Good luck!!
Thanks for letting me know what to expect:) I'm just ready to get it over with so hopefully I will start feeling better!

This is probably a little late..But if you get a headache again and unable to take anything for it try this trick (works for me) Press firmly in the "web" aread between your thumb and index finger..Doesn't make the pain go away-just takes the "edge" off it..I have headaches a lot and sometimes I am not able to take anything for it..**caution** I have read if you are pregnant it may cause contractions:eek: fyi

Good luck with the surgery! {{{angelseyes}}}
I've been having migraines again :( I had to go to the er the other night and get a shot. I was feeling pretty good for about 4 hours and then BAM, it came right back. :( :rolleyes:
Have you ever tried Excedrin Migraine? Someone told me that it was pretty good. I've gotta find something to take OTC because my insurance only lasts about 5 more weeks.
Sorry, didn't mean to whine in your thread.

LOL Tash you know you can whine in my threads any time you want girl! Hows that baby?! She is sooooooo pretty! Oops got ot there for a second *blushing*
Ugh I feel your pain with those migraines! They suck bigtime! I really like Excederine Migraine...I have to take 3 at a time though, but it does the trick. Some times it won't get rid of the headache completely but it will dull it CONSIDERABLY!
Thanks for the well wishes....I'm ok with the surgery part. Not so ok with the staying in the hospital part lol. {{{{{Tasha}}}}}

I made myself get up, walk around and take a shower. LOL I was so ready to go home. I feel like a caged animal in the hospital. I would die if I ever went to jail I guess. lol
The baby is doing pretty good. We had some trouble with her milk and they had to change her but so far so good. I think she might be getting her days and nights mixed up though. :rolleyes: She got up at 9pm last night and stayed up until 12am. Got back up at 2:30am and back to bed at 3:30am and then she got right back up at 5am! :eek: (I hope I didn't confuse ya to bad, I'm tired :p LOL)
I went fishing in my freebies last night and found a sample of Excederine Migraine and it did seem to help a lot! I've gotta get me a bottle of them.
I hope you're doing ok! {{{Hugs}}}
