Does anyone know how to remove crayon from walls and doors. My little precious had a tantrum last night and decided she was going to get the last word!
It looks really awfull (purple and green everywhere)-- any suggestion would be welcome!
Thanks

Try using a baking soda paste ... my daughter also did this years ago and I took some baking soda, put it on a wet cloth and added just enough water to make it pasty. Hardly any elbow grease is even needed! I use baking soda paste for just about everything! Works wonders, is cheap and almost always have it on hand!

Good luck!

The only thing that's ever worked for me is Comet or Ajax.

WD-40 works and you don't really need to scrub, spray it on and it almost melts it off without taking off the paint - also toothpastse works well in a pinch.

Orange cleaner or if it's the waxy type of crayons on a smooth wall surface cover it with a wet washcloth and iron it. Hairspray will remove ink, but I'm not sure about crayons.

THIS IS GOING TO SOUND WEIRD.

RUBB THE CRAYON MARKS WITH A 100% COTTON SHIRT.

SOMEONE TOLD ME THIS, I DIDN'T BELIEVE HIM.
THEN I TRIED IT, & HAD TO SAY I (gasp) WAS WRONG

I need to keep these things in mind for when I have kids :)

depends on your wall type, but baby oil or any oil based product usually works really well, on glass windex or vinegar works fine. wallpaper can be tricky, if it is old but usually just a dry rag will get it off or the iron trick. in more porous materials i have gotten it off with rubbing alcohol.

just an extra tip, permenet marker comes off with tooth paste.

Thank You, Thank You !! It worked.. I was brushing my teeth this morning and remembered that harlow suggested tooth paste. So I grabbed an old tooth brush under the sink and it worked like a charm...
By the way, My husband is very impressed that this worked and with all of the other suggestions. In fact he is know searching the house for any "hidden" crayon marks so that "he can try it" !! He's so funny -- I wish he would go search the kitchen sink for dirty dishes next...!

tell him you just found out tooth paste can be used to clean toilets! may be he'll get suckered in to scrubbing them!
